Neal's Emmy

Nathalie Shiffer asked for a oneshot of Neal always wanting to be with Emma and not letting anyone else near her.

Neal had been having a bad day. He was over tired, but refusing to take a nap. He'd been very clingy to Emma that day. He was sitting on her lap, his head against her chest and sucking his thumb. Emma hoped that if he sat there long enough he'd fall asleep anyway. Snow came into the room.

"Emma, can I borrow you in the kitchen for a moment?" She asked.

"No!" Neal yelled. Both looked down at him in shock. "Emmy no leave, my Emmy." He elaborated. Snow raised an eyebrow.

"Your Emmy, huh?" She asked, with Neal only nodding in reply. "You'd think after an eight hour labour I'd have some sort of share." Snow murmured, with Emma only just hearing.

"TMI!" She called back. Snow chuckled.

"Sorry, anyway, Neal can we share? Mommy needs Emma to help her set up your new big boy booster seat. You can sit with daddy while he watches the game?" Snow offered. David turned round at the mention of daddy. He saw the scene before him and was pretty quick at working out what was happening.

"Come on buddy, I could use my little good luck charm. What do you say, want to help me cheer them on?" Neal shook his head frantically. David frowned. This was very unlike Neal. "Aww, don't be like that." He said, getting up. He came over. "Come on, I need my best little buddy with me!" He tried to pick Neal up, resulting in Neal screaming like he'd been given an electric shock.

"No, want Emmy!" He demanded.

"There's an easy way to sort this." Emma said. She got up, Neal glued to her hip. "I'll quite literally be giving you a hand." She said, moving towards the kitchen.
