Fright on the stairs
Lilianne asked for a oneshot of Emma falling down the stairs whilst holding Neal and Snow coming in just in time to see it.
"Ok little buddy," Emma said, picking the freshly changed Neal up. "How about you give big sissy a little break and we'll put you down on your play mat for a little bit while I watch TV, ok?" Emma said, carrying her little brother out of the room. Their parents were at a meeting, and Emma didn't expect them back for a few hours yet. She carried him out onto the hallway and started going down the stairs. Emma was so busy cooing to her baby brother, she didn't hear the front door open.
"Only me!" Snow called. Emma jumped, startled by the noise and slipped crashing onto her backside. Neal started wailing in her arms.
"Emma!" Snow called, dashing up the stairs to where they were. She quickly took Neal off of Emma and started to assess him.
"I- I'm sorry!" Emma said, panicking. "I just got a fright, I slipped! Is he ok?" She asked, feeling terribly guilty. Snow took a moment, checking her son over before assessing that he too had just gotten a bit of a fright. She nodded.
"He's fine." She called over his wailing. She rocked him gently until his crying stopped, and he settled in her arms. "You done a good job of keeping him safe." Snow praised Emma. Emma smiled, relieved he was ok. She took hold of the banister and pulled herself up. She winced, something wasn't right in her lower back. Snow frowned. "A bit too well it seems. I think you've jarred your back. Come on, let's get you settled on the couch. I'll get you a hot water bottle."
"Really mom, you don't need to. I'm just fine…"
"Emma." Snow said in her no nonsense voice. "Go lie down. I'm calling Doc too to check you both over to be on the safe side." Snow informed her.
"Mom!" Emma whinged. Snow just raised an eyebrow, shutting her up. Emma knew there was no point in arguing. That look meant it was happening.
