Icky

Wow. I'm lost for words (which doesn't happen very often I assure you). Every request I've had for this story has been an achievement. But to make it all the way to 100…I can't thank you all enough. I hope you enjoy the oneshots, and I hope you'll continue to give me your amazing ideas! Anyway, for my hundredth entry, Nathalie Shiffer asked for a oneshot of Neal finding out Emma is going on a date and not being happy about it.

Charming came into the living room to tell Neal they were heading out to Granny's for dinner and it was time to get ready. He was expecting to see his son either colouring in or reading since it was quiet. He wasn't expecting to see him sitting very clearly in a huff on the couch.

"Hey buddy," Charming greeted him, coming over. "What's wrong with you? Did you get into trouble?" He asked. Neal shook his head. "No? Then why so grouchy?"

"Emma." Neal grumbled. "She's going on a date." Charming raised an eyebrow. "And why does that make you upset?"

"Because it's gross." Neal answered simply. Charming couldn't help but let out a bark of laughter as he sat down beside Neal and ruffled his hair.

"That's my boy! Emma going on dates is icky isn't it?" Neal nodded, screwing up his face in disgust.

"If she goes on a date like you and mommy do sometimes she'll have to hold hands…and kiss. That's just for mommies and daddies to do. Emma shouldn't be!" Neal exclaimed, outraged. Charming decided his son was getting an extra big chocolate sundae at Granny's tonight. Wise boy.

"Yeah, I agree kiddo. Emma shouldn't be going on dates. But sadly, we can't tell her not to."

"But why? You're her daddy. Everyone has to listen to their mommies and daddies. Even Emma." Charming couldn't help but smile at his son's innocence.

"Well yeah, but Emma's all grown up now. She doesn't even live with us anymore. So mommy and I can't always tell her what to do now. So all you and I can do is make sure the bozo knows what happens if he hurts our Emma. Good idea?" Neal nodded enthusiastically.

"Yeah. Can we beat him up if he makes her cry?" Charming ruffled his hair again.

"You can watch while I do the beating up. Deal?" Neal nodded again, feeling a little better about the situation. He knew daddy wouldn't let Emma be upset. And neither would he.
