Whew! It's been a while. This semester is the most hellish I've ever had. I've had half of this chapter written for so long, but couldn't seem to finish it. But the occasional notifications of favorites and reviews pushed me enough to get out of the slump. So here we are!

Hopefully I won't go MIA again and you guys will have the next chapter much sooner.

Without further ado!

Chapter 14: Retaliation

Jackson felt a prickling sensation at the back of his neck as he sat at their table. He stopped sipping on the beer and looked around quickly. He could feel the wolves tense up just like him while the humans remained oblivious. Allison and Lydia were dancing on the floor without a care in the world. His eyes met Boyd's at the bar who gave him a stiff nod.

The young beta stood up from his seat and made his way to the human girls. Cora and Isaac were nowhere to be seen, but Jackson knew they were around here somewhere. He saw Erica beside Boyd with a murdering expression on her face.

All the wolves restrained their shifts and growls as soon as two figures came into view by the edge of the dance floor.

The Alpha twins.

Jackson immediately started to look for Isaac. He knew the curly blonde had to be pissed at the twins for locking him up in the janitor's closet. He didn't want the beta to seek revenge on his own and get into trouble. They'd do it as a pack.

He spotted a mop of curly-blonde hair after a while. He looked over to see Isaac coming towards him with Cora right behind him. They both had a murderous glint in their eyes. "Get the girls out of here," Isaac said under his breath but Jackson clearly heard him over the loud music blasting through the club. He just nodded his head before turning towards the human girls. It didn't take long to convince them to get out of there once he muttered the word "Alphas."

"Don't do anything stupid." Jackson threw over his shoulder at Isaac before ushering Lydia and Allison out of there.

"I am not leaving you alone," Derek growled lowly right beside Stiles's ear so the Spark could hear him properly. Stiles gripped the older man's forearm, his touch leaving a calming sensation on the werewolf.

"Hey, you trust me, right?" Stiles pulled the Alpha to look him straight in the eyes. Derek huffed before gripping the younger man's waist. "Of course I trust you! But I can't bear the thought of leaving you alone with them lurking about."

"Der, trust me. I know what I'm doing, okay? It'll be fine." Stiles told the Alpha with conviction. Derek almost seemed to engage in a stare-down with the Spark before letting out a resigned sigh. "Alright. But anything goes wrong, I'm getting you out of here. I don't care if I have to drag you out screaming and thrashing."

"Kinky," Stiles smirked before quickly pecking the werewolf and slipping away.

Isaac felt his wolf thrumming under his skin. He would've shifted if it wasn't for Cora's hand holding his in a reassuring grip. He noticed one of the twins leaning against the bar with a glass in his hand. He was staring at Isaac and had a grin on his face that made the curly-blonde beta growl lowly.

He felt his stomach tighten with tension when he spotted the other Alpha dancing with Danny. Well, dancing as in ass groping and hips pushed together while people jumped around them. Isaac was a little scared for Danny. He didn't want his teammate to get tangled up in this supernatural war or get hurt. But how could he tell Danny to stay away from the new kids without letting the real reason about them being psycho Alpha assholes slip somehow?

Scott was on the edge of the dance floor glaring at the twins. He wanted nothing more than to claw at their chest. Isaac's whimpers were still fresh in his mind after they got him out of the closet. Boyd and Erica were lingering closer to keep an eye on the Alphas. The twins never interacted with them while they were locked up in the vault. But that didn't make them any less guilty of taking part in the disgusting mind games Deucalion planned on playing with Derek.

The betas calmed down a little when they felt their Alpha approaching. Derek's eyes momentarily flashed before going back to their normal color. The absence of a certain Spark caused the betas to immediately tense up again.

"Where's Stiles? He was in the bathroom-" Isaac couldn't keep his voice low enough in his anxiety-ridden mind. Derek put his hand up to silence him. "He's fine. I was with him just now. He wants to retaliate." The Alpha pointedly looked at the twins who were now on the dance floor together. One of them kept dancing with Danny while the other one was making out with a girl.

"What does he want us to do?" Boyd and Erica moved closer to their pack. Scott was moving closer as well, not completely looking away from the twins.

Derek gestured to his phone and they all felt the incoming text on their respective phones. They all pulled their phones out to see a text from Stiles on the pack group chat. The Spark didn't want to risk the Alphas listening to what they were planning to do. Derek kept his gaze fixed on the Alphas while the betas read through the text. He could see Isaac start to grin from the corner of his eyes.

The girl had slipped away in the crowd, but Aiden was still having a good time. He could see his brother dancing with the Mahleani kid without a care in the world. Aiden knew the Hale pack was lurking around them. He was almost certain they would pull something to get back at them for what they did to their beta. Ethan had felt kind of guilty afterward when they saw how miserable Lahey was. His brother was soft. He was all about physical torture, but the emotional or mental torture bothered him too much.

Aiden soon felt someone brushing against him. He turned to see the blonde bombshell from the Hale pack, her painted red lips curled up in a teasing smile. On his other side, he could feel Lahey swaying to the music. Both of them were moving close to him but not exactly touching. He couldn't see the other members of the pack, but his Alpha instincts told him the other werewolves were around somewhere.

The blonde started showing off some sensual moves while moving closer to him. He could catch a whiff of anger rolling off Lahey, but nothing quite strong from the other blonde. He smirked and started dancing with her. Erica turned around to lean her back against his chest and gripped his neck with her right hand. Aiden felt Isaac move closer to them, but still not touching. The hand gripping his neck had long fingernails, but no claws yet.

"It's a shame, really." He could hear the blonde mutter with her breath brushing against his cheek. "Big, bad Alphas that strike from behind. Think you're not strong enough to face the measly betas of Hale pack?" Her grin could only be called cheshire as she turned around and took a step back. Aiden felt Ethan tense up, his movements became stiffer against Danny.

"You're not the only one who knows how to hit on someone's weak spot." Aiden felt the deep rumble under the voice of Lahey as he leaned down to whisper in his ear. Erica pointed at something on his right with her eyes. Aiden turned around to see McCall looking right at him, a mischievous smile on the beta's face as he tossed something in the air. It looked suspiciously like something metal. Aiden's eyes momentarily widened as he realized.

The fucker messed with his motorbike!

He turned to see both the blonde betas were gone. He looked back to see them standing beside McCall, all of them with matching grins on their faces before disappearing from view. Aiden was fuming with anger now, his brother picking up on his mood instantly.

"Aiden, don't." He heard his brother say in a warning tone, but he didn't care. He'd teach them! Aiden quickly rushed out of the dance floor. He followed the trail of fresh scent the betas left. Their scents lead towards the back exit of the club. He ran outside with his eyes flashing red. He could hear several heartbeats, but none of them were near enough. It was difficult to filter out the distant heartbeats because of all the people in the club.

As soon as he stepped out of the club and took a few steps forward, he saw a lean figure move towards him. Before he could pull out his claws, something was thrown at him and he realized that he was trapped.

A mountain ash circle.

He could sense the presence of another Alpha. He could also feel his brother getting closer. Before he could let out a warning howl, Ethan stepped outside the club and was thrown away by Derek Hale.

Aiden growled in his beta shift, but he couldn't move past the mountain ash barrier. He turned around to glare at the one who had made the circle.

It was the human.. no, not human. Deucalion said he was a Spark. Stilinski wiggled his eyebrows when he noticed the Alpha was seething in anger. The blonde betas were standing a little behind the Spark, forming a half circle. Aiden saw his brother growling in beta shift as well, blood dripping down his face and clothes from where Derek had slashed him. Cora Hale and Boyd were standing on either side of Derek. Aiden let out another growl when he saw McCall standing right outside the back entrance of the club. He still had the motorcycle part in his hand that he was tossing in the air like a ball.

"Now, now. Everyone, play nice." Stiles said playfully as he stood close to Aiden, just outside of the barrier. Aiden snapped his teeth at the Spark who just smirked at him. The betas were grinning behind him with their hands wrapped over their chests. Stiles's smirk soon turned into a threatening one as he took a step closer, the edge of his sneaker almost brushing against the mountain ash.

"I know you have a bone to pick with us, no pun intended. But locking up Isaac like you did? That was way out of line." His voice dropped to an almost growl as his eyes flashed deep purple for a second. "You guys are all Alphas, right? Then come at us with your Alpha powers, show us what you've got. Stop playing cheap mind games. You wouldn't want us to think you're physically weak now, would you?"

"Danny's coming this way," Scott said lowly before moving away from his spot.

The Spark offered another playful grin at the trapped Alpha twin before stepping back and slowly turning around. The other betas started to move away as well. Ethan was panting softly as his body desperately tried to heal from wounds from another Alpha. He wasn't sure he would be able to merge with his brother now even if he tried. He could hear the rapid but strong heartbeat of Danny getting closer. Derek threw him a menacing glare before turning around and walking away with his pack.

Stiles waved his hand after they were at a good ten feet distance, and the mountain ash circle broke. He danced happily in his head for being able to put his Spark to use without a hitch. Before Aiden could move, Danny came out of the back entrance and gasped after seeing Ethan.

"What happened?!" Ethan mumbled something about getting into a fight with a drunk kid as Danny helped him stand. Aiden's eyes flashed as he looked at the retreating forms of the Hale pack. His face turned human before he turned back to his brother and his maybe-boyfriend.

"I'm thinking of telling my dad everything," Stiles said a little absentmindedly. He was laying half on top of Derek. They were both sprawled across Stiles's small bed. After encountering the Alpha twins, none of them were in the mood to keep partying. Stiles dropped Scott at his house before going to his own. Jackson had dropped off both Allison and Lydia at their houses before getting to the loft. Erica and Boyd had also decided to stay there for the night. The betas preferred to stay close to each other anyways, especially when things were tense.

Erica crashed with Cora in her room while the boys all pulled out mattresses in the living space. Even Isaac decided to leave his bed for the night to join the boys. Derek slipped away from the loft after checking up on his betas. He had to see Stiles.

The Sheriff was out for the night shift. Derek sneaked in after the coast was clear; he did use the door this time. But his Camaro was parked a few blocks down the road.

"Everything as in, the werewolf stuff?" Derek asked. He was drawing invisible patterns on Stiles's back. The younger man was resting his cheek on Derek's chest, his arms wrapped around the Alpha's waist. "Yeah. I know how dangerous the supernatural world is. But don't you think he is in more danger if he doesn't know what he is fighting?" Stiles lifted his head to look at his favorite pair of hazel-blue eyes. Derek sighed; he looked thoughtful for a moment.

"That he is. But it's your dad, Stiles. So it's your call. We will do everything to protect him whether he knows about the supernatural or not. He is already a part of the pack." Stiles smiled a little and leaned up to peck Derek softly on the lips. Derek rested his hand on the small of Stiles's back. His wolf was rumbling happily at being so close to Stiles.

"That's so sweet. You're getting soft, Der-Bear." Stiles smirked after pulling back. Derek scowled at him. "I told you not to call me that." Stiles just chuckled and resumed his position by lying back on Derek's chest. The Alpha's scowl soon disappeared when he felt Stiles's ear pressed against his heart.

Derek carded his hand through Stiles's hair, the strands felt soft against his hand. The younger man had his eyes closed with a content smile on his face. After a few minutes, Stiles laughed quietly.

"What?" Derek asked curiously.

"I'm just thinking what my reaction would be, if someone told me six months ago that I would be in my bed with Derek Hale while he plays with my hair." Stiles lifted his head up and looked at the Alpha. His eyes were full of mirth and a playful smirk graced his lips.

"Your reaction? How do you think past Derek would react?" Derek's eyebrows rose as he helped Stiles settle over his chest. The Spark was almost sitting now, his arms wrapped around the older man's torso. "He would probably just say, I'll rip your throat out.. with my teeth," Stiles said in an exaggeratingly growly voice with his face frowning in a ridiculous way.

Derek gave him an unimpressed look. "I do not sound like that."

"I beg to differ. That is exactly how you threatened me when you were bleeding out on my jeep."

"I didn't growl."

"Maybe you did. You were poisoned with wolfsbane. Your memory's foggy." Derek looked at Stiles with a blank face for a few seconds. Then he jumped forward and started tickling him, which caused the Spark to laugh loudly.

"Der-Derek! No!" Stiles kept laughing as Derek laid over him and tickled his sides. A grin was on his face too, showing off his bunny teeth. The tickle fight went on for a while until Stiles became too breathless from all the laughing. Derek finally let him go. He moved to get off of Stiles, but the younger man pulled him close by his arms.

Stiles was still breathing deeply, his chest rapidly moving with each intake. He stared deep into the hazel-blue eyes of the man above him. Derek's gaze flickered to his lips for a split second. Stiles smiled before putting his hands around the Alpha's shoulders and pulling him down. Their lips connected in a chaste kiss, but it soon turned more intense.

Derek bit down on Stiles's bottom lip which made the younger man moan loudly. Derek pushed his tongue inside Stiles's mouth to taste the slight bitterness of coffee that was ever present. He grabbed both sides of the Spark's lean hips. Stiles put his hands under Derek's shirt to roam his hands around the toned back. His hands brushed over the abs and he kept pushing the shirt up.

Derek broke the kiss momentarily to pull his shirt off and went back to kissing Stiles immediately. The younger Spark scratched at the Alpha's back with his nails. Derek moved down to drop kisses along Stiles's jawline and nip at the juncture of his neck. Stiles couldn't help the moans that escaped his mouth. His lips fell open as he felt the blood rush down to the lower regions of his body.

"Der.." He moaned out as the Alpha kept sucking an impressive hickey at the younger man's neck. Stiles felt Derek's erection rubbing against his own. He couldn't stop the shudder that ran through his body. Derek pulled back from assaulting Stiles's neck and looked at the whiskey-brown eyes which were glistening with need.

"Please don't stop," Stiles whispered as he stared into the hazel-blue eyes that seemed as if they were looking into his soul. Derek sighed and brought his right hand up to cup Stiles's cheek.

"Stiles, we can't." His voice was a little pained but sure. Stiles shook his head as a confused look passed across his face. "You-you don't want to?" His scent soured a little with embarrassment. Derek's wolf whined at Stiles's underlying insecurity.

"No, no! Of course I want to! You have no idea how much, I-I can't think straight with you around. You drive me crazy." His thumb brushed along Stiles's bottom lip. Stiles leaned his head down a bit and kissed the edge of the thumb brushing along his lip. Derek clenched his eyes shut before opening them again. His jaw tensed up.

"You know about my past. About Kate and what she-" He couldn't finish his sentence as his eyes flashed red for a second from the intense hatred that poured inside him from uttering that name. "I can't be like that."

"Don't you dare!" Stiles said with fire in his eyes as he sat up, pushing Derek back so he almost straddled the older man's lap as they both sat upright on the bed. "You are nothing like that bitch. You hear me?" Stiles cupped Derek's cheeks with his hands and pulled him closer. Their breaths mingled together as he stared intently into Derek's eyes. "She was a psychotic killer who manipulated a boy to destroy his world. Don't you dare compare yourself to her! I may not be of age yet, but you can be damn sure that mentally, I'm at least 25 from all the shit we've dealt with till now."

Derek softly chuckled as he loosely wrapped his hand around Stiles's left wrist. "That would make you older than me, you know?" Stiles grinned at the werewolf before pecking him softly. "Well, physically I'm still a twink." He winked with a teasing grin. Derek rolled his eyes before leaning back against the pillows by the headboard. Stiles moved over to him and resumed his previous position. He rested his chin on Derek's chest as the werewolf played with the Spark's strands.

"You could never take advantage of someone, Der. First of all, you're too much of a martyr to use someone for selfish reasons. And if I remember correctly, you didn't seduce me. It was kinda the other way around." Derek let out an abrupt laugh that made his eyes crinkle at the sides. Stiles relished the sound as the werewolf's body shook a little from the laugh. He kept looking at the older man with a tender smile as Derek calmed down.

"You should laugh more often. You have a beautiful laugh. I don't think I've heard you laugh that much." Derek smiled before pulling Stiles upwards so their faces were aligned with each other. "I didn't have a reason to laugh before." A blush quickly spread across the Spark's cheeks before he softly kissed the Alpha.

Stiles pulled back after a while and leveled Derek with a stern look. "Getting back to our discussion, fine. If it makes you feel better, we'll wait until my eighteenth birthday before going all the way. All right? Until then, we can still do other stuff. Or not. Whatever's okay with you." Derek rested his right hand on Stiles's waist where the younger man's shirt had risen up a little. He could feel the goosebumps forming across the soft skin as his fingers brushed across the exposed skin.

"Other stuff's fine." He grinned before pulling Stiles down and kissing him with fervor.
