In the quiet of the morning

We have a oneshot for a guest here. You reviewed saying that although you like my stories you feel Charming is often left out, as I know a few folks have said. Fair enough, I do feel more in my comfort zone writing Snow than Charming but in my defence I write what I am requested to and most of the time it's mama Snow chapters. But don't worry, there are a lot of Charming chapters coming up for you. And you also said about having a romantic Snowing chapter. Again, romance isn't really something I'm very good at but I'll give it a bash for you. Even letting you jump the queue and everything, see, I'm not all bad :P Set in the EF before Emma was born.

It was mornings like this that Snow treasured. Warm and safe in her comfortable bed. With those familiar safe, strong arms wrapped protectively around her. Her husband's arms. It still gave her a flurry of excitement to call him that. A reminder that he was forever hers and she forever his.

The mornings were particularly good times for the newlyweds. Most of the time they were calm, peaceful and most importantly undisturbed. Snow backed closer into her husband, with the hope of waking him gently. If they slept too long they would have to get up straight away and start their busy day. Her plan worked, as she felt him stir behind her.

"Good morning." She whispered quietly. He leaned down, pressing a delicate kiss to the hollow of her neck which he knew she loved.

"Good morning." He whispered back, hugging her closer. Snow twisted round in his grasp so they were nose to nose. Their eyes met, and even so early into their married life they could tell what the other was thinking without either uttering a word. Charming grinned, rolling over with Snow so he was on top of her. He smiled down at her. It didn't matter whether she was dressed for a Ball or here right now in the early hours of the morning. She always looked beautiful. He bent down and again kissed the hollow of her neck earning a needy sigh from her lips. Again their eyes met as Charming grinned. He loved when days began like this.
