Worth it
Devlin asked for a oneshot of Snow and an overtired Neal.
Snow nearly broke down herself as her three year old started having another tantrum in the living room. He'd been having a pretty rough day it seemed. It was now two and a half hours past his bedtime, and Snow suspected Neal had gone way beyond being tired and had hit the metaphorical wall.
"Come on honey." She said tiredly, picking him up.
"No sleepy!" He screamed between wails.
"Well alright." Snow sighed, sitting down on the couch with him on her lap. He immediately curled up into her making Snow certain that he was in fact tired. "We can just read a story then. And I know just the one." Snow said. Neal's favourite book- "Guess how much I love you"- was still on the couch from when he'd been read it before nap time. So Snow picked it up and began to read it to him. His breathing was beginning to even out as she finished the story, and Snow could not be more relieved. She was exhausted from his bad mood all day.
"Neal love mama." He said sleepily. Snow felt her heart skip a beat. She gently kissed her son's head.
"And mama loves Neal." She told him. Yes, it sucked when he had bad days like this. But it was all worth it every time he said that he loved her.
