TWs: Electric shocks, previous 'body' modification/mutilation, mind manipulation/hypnotization is still a thing. Stay safe :)
"Anything?" The assistant spoke, his voice reverberating around the cell.
"Nope..." Arthur uttered, getting the same error sound as before.
"Maybe there's a grid blocking your transmission?" Larry assumed.
The ginger frowned from his perch on the bed, "As if. Do they think they can keep me from sending a message to the outside by using a measly power grid? Fat chance."
"Idiot." Larry sighed, knowing Arthur wasn't thinking straight while in the conditions they were in. Instead of helping him out of his stupor, the shorter sat beside the iron bars.
He wondered when they would get out, if Bing got away safely, or if he needed help. Larry huffed as he delved into his thoughts; his partner consistently seemed to get in trouble, yet always knew how to get out of it. It astounded Larry greatly.
"Agh!" There was a shout from Arthur as he reeled back from the aperture within the walls. He nearly fell off the bed, but Larry was quick enough to catch and pull him to his feet.
"What happened?" Larry questioned, looking at the ginger.
"Ah, it seems... you were right." Arthur spoke through gritted teeth, "There is a power grid surrounding us."
Larry furrowed his eyebrows as he looked at what happened; there was a slight burn below his friend's eye. He knew it would leave a mark.
"Idiot, I told you to be careful," Larry spoke.
"Did you...? I only heard an insult."
"Just- stop trying, Arthur." Larry frowned, "It's pointless to try and escape."
"What?" Arthur heard Larry's footsteps walk away.
The assistant held onto the bars of the cell, "Just face it, we're going to be stuck here for the time being."
Arthur blinked, his finger combing over the mark he earned, "You know that's not true."
There was silence on Larry's end; the sound of the dripping from the ceiling was the only noise.
Drip... drop... drip... plop...
Arthur sighed, "Well, while you wallow in your self-pity, I'm gonna try again."
Carefully getting on the bed, the ginger stood at the aperture, adjusting his glasses.
"Hey, you got hurt the first time; do you think it's not going to shock you a second time?" Larry raised an eyebrow, yanking Arthur's wrist as he pulled him back.
BZZZTTT!
A loud buzzing sound came from above as Arthur felt the rushing electricity of the power grid heat his face for only a millisecond.
"What the fuck?" Larry spoke, peering up at the ceiling.
"C, what was that?" Arthur asked his AI.
"Something from within the castle," She responded, "Seems to have short-circuited the grid."
Arthur thought momentarily, "We have to move quickly if we want to send a message then."
The ginger stood on the bed, adjusting his glasses once more. Larry took his place by the iron bars, keeping watch for any soldiers.
When Dr. John received a message from his boss to meet him at the palace, the scientist expected the King to have some good news or to be rewarded, even if John knew that he'd never be credited as the so-called great scientist that he was.
He let out a breath as he stood before the throne room doors. He glanced behind him at Edd, the taller glaring back at him with a stony gaze. John shivered, choosing to ignore it as he opened the door.
"Finally, you're here." A sharp yet hollow voice spoke.
Standing before him stood Hellucard, except in his naked form. The fake skin was peeling off, exposing the metal endoskeleton and sparking wires.
"Ah, may I ask what happened, sir?" John spoke, lifting his glasses.
"A drone." Hellucard uttered, "Missing an antennae."
A crash came from the corner of the room. Their heads turned, and they spotted that Katya had knocked over a vase.
"Be careful, newbie! Everything in this place is worth more than your expenses." The King scowled, "Go somewhere else."
Katya left the room, seemingly unphased as she blinked her eyes.
"Doctor?" Hellucard glared at him.
"Yes?" John met his gaze.
"What is Edd doing out of the room?"
"Uh... he needed fresh air?"
Hellucard huffed, "Do you think I'm stupid?"
"No-"
"Yes," Edd spoke up unblinkingly.
"What?" Hellucard turned to the taller.
"Who are you?" Edd asked, looking around the room, inspecting the thrones, "And what am I doing here?"
"I'm your King, and you are here to fight the rebellion." The King shrugged.
Edd was quiet as he took everything in. He looked at Hellucard with a dead and cold gaze, "What if I don't want to?"
"Because I-" Hellucard held his tongue as he fought the urge to snap at the brunette. He took a deep breath, "I think... we both have something we want."
The taller quirked an eyebrow at that, "I'm listening..."
Katya roamed the halls of the palace, staring at everything with squinted vision. Her eyesight was becoming blurry, and it was hard to see anything. She was getting an awful migraine from blinking at everything.
She eventually found a bedroom with a mirror. She peered into it, rubbing at her eyes until she felt something slip out. She got down on the ground and found a contact lens near the base of the mirror. The blonde hummed as she slipped the other one out.
There was a moment where she felt something; the heaviness over her became so much lighter.
Katya looked at herself in the mirror. She was in different clothes, a different uniform.
'What... happened?' Katya asked herself as she gaped at the mirror. She opened her bag, knowing she never departed without it, and took out her extra pair of glasses, also knowing she never left without packing in case of emergencies.
She stood up and looked around the luxurious room before heading out, eyes widening as she realized she was in Buckingham Palace.
"Holy shit-" Katya muttered, covering her mouth as she heard voices below her. She looked down from the balcony and noticed three people were heading out of the throne room, 'Wait, is that... Edd? And Hellucard?'
As she looked closer, she noticed that it was her friend and the enemy. But what was her role in this? She didn't know how she got here.
'And Kim-!' Katya realized, her hands covering her chest, 'What happened to her?'
"Hey, newbie! Come on, we're leaving for the lab!" Hellucard spoke, his voice echoing throughout the halls.
So, she was their ally in this.
Katya just nodded, trying her best to act as normal as someone under a mind spell would act.
She clenched her fists as she walked behind the trio, walking steadily behind them as they made for the lab.
She wouldn't play his mind game.

I meant to ask this in the previous chapter since I revealed that *someone* was a robot, but...
Anybody watch the FNaF movie? Pretty good, right? I rate it an 8/10, certainly better than watching someone monitor cameras for an hour lmao
I'm glad it actually had a story
