The over-protective dad speech

"We should probably go before David gives you his over-protective dad speech…"
"Hold your horses." David said coming over. Emma sighed. She looked to her mom for support but she was far too busy smiling over the stupid picture. She let go of Killian's hand and stepped to the side. She really did need her own place. "You may have two hands now, but use them inappropriately and you'll be down to none." David warned harshly. Emma groaned, hiding her face in her hands. Killian looked rather shocked, he thought David was on board now! "She comes home upset or angry and I hunt you down. If she's not home by half eleven I hunt you both down…"
"I'm thirty years old, you can't give me a curfew!" Emma snapped, mortified. David turned and raised an eyebrow at her.
"Fine. Snow? Do you fancy a night out at a fancy restaurant?" Charming called behind him.
"Alright alright, half eleven." Emma grumbled, taking Hook's hand and pulling him out the door.
"Have fun kids!"
"We're the same age!" Emma yelled back.
"Still my baby. Remember that pirate!" David gave a final warning before retreating inside. Snow was smiling over at him.
"There. You had your dad moment. Now let them be. Emma's a big girl who can look after herself."
"Uh huh. And if she were to come home crying you'd just be fine and let it slide?" Charming responded. Snow's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Point taken." Snow sighed, turning and walking to the window. She felt her husband come up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"That's our baby, Charming." She said proudly. He nodded.
"Indeed it is." He subtly took out his phone and set an alarm for half eleven. He had meant what he said. Emma might be all grown up but he'd always be there to keep suitors in line.
