Stubborn little girl

alemigui asked for a oneshot of Red babysitting a stubborn little Emma

"Come on Emma." Red sighed impatiently. "You need to get ready."

"No, I want mommy and daddy." Emma declared stubbornly. Red ran her hand down her face in frustration.

"Honey you know they had to go away for the weekend and that they left me in charge. We could have lots of fun this weekend if you'd just stop being silly and get dressed…"

"Nope." Emma stated, refusing to move. "Mommy always helps me get dressed and do my hair."

"Well maybe Auntie Red could do it?" Red offered. Emma shook her head.

"No. You won't know what to do. Only mommy does. Even daddy can't get it right." Red would have laughed at that if she wasn't so frustrated with the little girl. Why was she so…so…like her mother! Red came over and sat beside where Emma was lying in the middle of her bedroom floor.

"Listen kid," Red said seriously. "I won't lie. You're beginning to make Auntie Red a little upset." Red could see Emma's resolve begin to crack. "And I don't like it when my little buddy makes me upset. So do you think you could maybe come out of this little huff and go get dressed for me?" Emma looked up at her Auntie. She was still kind of mad that mommy and daddy went away again. But she did like playing with Auntie Red. Emma sighed.

"Fine." She said, getting up. "But just for you." Red couldn't help but chuckle at that. But she also knew that the battles of the weekend had only just begun.
