Flickering lights
One I made up myself inspired by a Facebook conversation I had recently. I'll leave it as a nice surprise. Rated T+ for safety.
Snow looked over at her husband again. He was still standing at the window. Looking out with a curious look on his face.
"You've been standing there for about ten minutes." She said, coming over to join him. "What's up?"
"The lights over at Emma's place keep flickering. All the rooms facing us." He told her, pointing over. Snow raised an eyebrow.
"You know where Emma's place is from here?" She asked. He nodded in return. Snow didn't even know why she was surprised. "Well if you're worried we can always go over and look. We can just pop Neal into Granny's."
"Great idea." Charming said, finally moving from the window to grab his coat and sword. Snow rolled her eyes following behind him to collect Neal. They were probably going to disturb Emma for a few dodgy light bulbs.
When they had dropped Neal off, they made their way to Emma's place. The closer they got, the more peculiar things seemed to get. When they were in the building, they noticed the floor was shaking slightly. Even Snow was worried now. They quickly made their way up to Emma's apartment. Charming grabbed his keys to the place and unlocked the door. They heard Emma scream from her room.
"Emma!" Snow cried out, running to the room. Charming was close behind her. But when Snow opened the door, she didn't rush in to help Emma in whatever the problem was. She screamed herself and backed out of the room, apologising profusely. Charming noticed she'd gone quite pink. He suddenly twigged what was going on.
"Oh Hell no." He said. He bashed the door with his fist a few times. "Hook!" He yelled "Get out here!"
"Just a second mate!" Hook replied. "You don't want to come in just now." Snow noticed Charming's hand curl into a tighter fist around his sword. Poor Hook was in a lot of trouble.
"They are adults, Charming." She reminded him. "Maybe we should just leave…"
"Not a chance. I told him to respect her and this isn't respect."
"Alright." Snow sighed. She knew Hook was now expert at out running Charming anyway. Eventually, Hook opened the door.
"Ah good evening." He greeted them. "Any chance we could meet up tomorrow. We're a little busy just now…" Hook only just missed the punch Charming flung at him. "Ok, maybe not." Hook said before dashing passed them and out the door with Charming hot on his heels, sword raised. Snow looked through the now open bedroom door to see Emma sitting on the bed, mouth open in shock. She caught her mother's eye and went scarlet.
"Don't worry. Hook's faster." Snow assured her. Emma didn't reply. She was trying to look anywhere but at her mom. "So…was he good?" Snow asked. Emma nearly choked on thin air.
"I- I am not answering that question!" She spluttered. Snow chuckled. "Oh come on. It's an all too common problem for men to forget about the lady's pleasure. Fortunately not one your father has. I just wanted to make sure Hook was doing things right for you…"
"Mom!" Emma complained, hiding her face behind a pillow. "Wrong on so many levels!" Snow rolled her eyes.
"Alright, alright. I won't ask anymore…he didn't leave you on the edge did he?-"
"Ok. Enough. See you later mom." Emma said, getting up and quickly ushering her mother out the front door. Snow stood in the corridor and couldn't help but laugh.
"Guess we won't see you tomorrow then?" She called back.
"You won't be seeing me until I can get a memory potion from Gold!" Emma responded. Snow made a note of that. Might be wise to get one for Charming too.
