It was early in the morning on the Boiling Isles. Luz, King, her mother, and her friends all stood in front of the newly assembled portal door. They had replaced the front door with it, and they had to say it didn't look too bad.

Rather than keep the original design of the old portal door, they changed it to more fit with the Owl House's color palette. Luz had dictated they keep the signature eye on the portal door, out of respect to King's dad.

"Alright, let's hope this works!" Luz said, holding the key in her hand.

She approached the door, and put the key in the lock. Luz turned the key, and opened the door... To reveal not the Owl House's living room, but a forest in the Human Realm.

"It works! It really works!" Gus exclaimed, smiling widely.

"That's the forest near Gravesfield!" Amity noticed.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" King exclaimed, rushing to enter the portal.

He's stopped by Luz, who put a hand in front of the little Titan.

"Whoa King, slow down... You can't just go through like... That." Luz explained, gesturing at King.

"You... You just gestured to all of me!" King said.

"Luz is right, rey. Hiding Witch ears is one thing... But it would be nearly impossible to hide the fact you're not human!" Camila explained to the Titan.

King sighed, "But I want to go too! I want to see the Human Realm!".

Luz thought for a moment, thinking of a way to safely bring King with them without him getting spotted... Before a sly smile appeared on her face.

"Comfy back there, King?" Luz asked as she and the others walked into the forest toward Gravesfield.

King's head poked out of the backpack on Luz's back.

"It's a bit cramped in here, but yeah." King answered, moving around slightly to get more comfortable.

"Good" Luz said, as she turned to the others. "If anyone asks about King, just say he's my emotional support animal." She told them.

The others nodded, "So, we're getting Vee and then going back to the Isles?" Amity asked.

"That's the plan!" Luz confirmed.

"I hope she's been okay. It's been a week since we left." Camila remarked.

As they all walked through the forest to make it back to town, Luz wondered how Eda was doing at that Coven meeting Raine had taken her to.

Eda probably had never wanted to die more in her entire life until now.

The Clawthorne had been at this Coven head meeting for the last three hours now, and it seemed to get more soul-crushing the longer she sat in her chair. For the last few hours it seemed the conversations would repeat, arguing about the same topic over and over...

"We spent months trying to dismantle the Emperor's Coven! Why in Titan's name would we reinstate the throne?!" Eberwolf exclaimed, sitting on Darius' shoulder.

"We need a leader now that Belos is gone, and rebuilding the Emperor's Coven seems like the smartest decision." Vitimir explained.

"Oh, and let me guess... You would be in charge of it?" Darius deadpanned, seeing where this conversation was going.

"Well, somebody needs to!" Adrian reasoned, "We won't get far without a leader!"

"You're just saying that because you want to be in charge." Eberwolf claimed, also deadpanning.

"Also, quick question... Why the fuck do THEY get to be here?" Eda asked; pointing at Terra, Adrian, and Vitimir.

"They're still the old Coven heads, past actions or not... They are entitled to be here." Darius explained.

"Ah yes, entitled... Entitled to nearly getting us all killed during the Day of Unity!" Eda exclaimed.

"You would have done the same if you thought somebody was betraying you! Don't even try to lie!" Terra responded defensively

"Whatever you say Snapdragon." Eda flatly said, rolling her eyes.

"And what do you mean, old Coven leaders?" Adrian inquired.

"As of today, we are dissolving the Coven system." Raine stated.

You could have sworn a bomb went off in the room in response to Raine's statement. The Coven leaders besides Darius and Eberwolf all began to argue the decision, shouting over each other.

"What? Did you think we were going to KEEP the system that Belos created strictly to make sure we were kept weak enough we could be easily be killed?!" Darius managed to shout over the sounds of the other Coven leaders' yells of complaints.

"The Coven System has been around for over 400 years! It brought an end to the Savage ages! You have no right to simply abolish it!" Vitimir exclaimed.

"You're right, let's go ask the dead emperor and see if he'll abolish it." Eda remarked sarcastically.

"Belos' death doesn't matter!" Terra reasoned, "If you dissolve the Coven system, nobody will be in charge of anything! It'll be chaos!".

"As much as I dislike agreeing with Snapdragon, she has a point." Mason agreed.

"Which is why we're creating one new leading Coven for the new era of the Isles." Raine explained, rather calmly. "This Coven will have multiple branches, these will replace the Covens until we discover a way to remove the brand sigils."

The other Coven leaders were silent, mulling it over.

"What is the name of this new Coven?" Adrian inquired."And who exactly is leading it?" Terra added to the inquiry.

"...We haven't really decided on either of those things yet." Raine answered after a moment.

The Coven heads all groaned in annoyance. "Oh, so we're leaderless then? You could have just said that." Adrian deadpanned. "Guess we're just going back to the Savage Ages, aren't we?"

"If I hear one more complaint out of you, I'm going to shove this empty bottle up your uptight ass." Eda threatened.

Adrian chose to stay quiet.

"This meeting is simply going nowhere." Hettie said.

"I agree, none of us can even come close to an agreement!" Osran added.

Eda groaned under her breath. She regretted only choosing to bring one bottle of Apple Blood with her to this meeting. The only way she could even think about getting through this was if she was blackout drunk.

"Well, if this meeting only exists to inform us of an unnecessary dissolve, and only mere mentions of a possible new government... I see no reason to stay any longer." Vitimir told everyone, and got up to leave.

Multiple of the other Coven heads decided to leave as well, the last being Terra. The only people left in the room was Eda, Raine, Darius, and Eberwolf.

"Well, that went well." Eda remarked sarcastically.

"Eda, go home." Darius deadpanned.

"Fuck yeah, don't got to tell me twice!" Eda was out of her chair before she even finished speaking, beginning to walk off.

Before she reached the door, she noticed Raine still looking at where Terra had left. They looked curious about something.

"Uh Rainestorm, meeting is over. We can go. Come on, I got more Apple Blood at the house!" Eda tried to convince Raine to come with her.

"Oh, yeah... I'll uh, catch up. Just got to do something first." Raine replied.

"Suit yourself. I'll save a bottle for you." Eda shrugged, and walked out the door.

Raine got up out of their chair, and walked out the same exit Terra did. She was up to something, and Raine was going to figure out what.

Luz walked up to the front door of her home, and knocked on the door a couple times.

After a moment, it opened... To reveal Masha.

"Oh hey! You've been gone for a while." They remarked.

Luz and the others were taken aback, but didn't let it show.

"Y-Yeah! Hey... Masha. Guess we sorta have been gone a while." Luz awkwardly replied, "How have you been... Also why are you in our house?"

"Helping Vee with a couple things." Masha answered.

"Oh, that's nice of you!" Gus complimented, "You know we're to pick Vee up for something, so mind if we come in?".

"Come on in." Masha opened the door for them all, "Vee's in the kitchen."

"Gracias." Camila thanked Masha, as she and the others began to walk to the kitchen.

Once they entered the kitchen, they were blessed with the sight of Vee in her basilisk form, her head stuck in a large chip bag.

"Masha?! Is that you?" Vee asked, her view limited by the chip bag. "Could you help get this bag off my head?

Luz rushed over, her eyes widened as she rips the bag off.

"Ow! You could have done that slower..." Vee then realized who was standing in front of her. "OH MY GOSH! YOU'RE BACK!"

Vee slithered over and hugged Luz, and she hugged back.

"We missed you too, but what are you doing?!" Luz exclaimed.

"Oh yeah, I guess I got carried away when it came to getting the chips out from the bottom of the bag-" Vee began

"Not that!" Luz exclaimed, hushed. "Masha is in the other room, she could see you in your basilisk form!"

"Oh, they kinda already know..." Vee sheepishly confessed.

Luz and the others were silent.

"Sorry... WHAT?!" Amity exclaimed.

"You told them?!" Hunter asked in shock.

"Actually, I figured it out myself."

The group jumped slightly, turning to see Masha at the doorway.

"The moment I met her at camp, I knew something was up." Masha shrugged.

"That night on Halloween, as they drove me home they told me they knew about me being a basilisk. At that point, I just decided to tell them everything." Vee explained.

"Huh, talk about some impressive detective work- Wait..." Camila paused, realizing something. "How did they drive you home? I had the car keys!"

Vee deadpanned, "Yeah... I know."

"You'd be surprised how easy it is to hot-wire a car... And how easy it was to steal one once I realized your car was locked." Masha explained.

"YOU STOLE A CAR?!" Camila exclaimed, eyes widened.

"Oh relax... It was Jacob's car." Masha motioned for Camila to calm down.

"Oh. Alright then." Camila replied.

"Plus we returned it... Sorta." Vee told her, "I'm sure he'll find it in that ditch we drove it into eventually."

"Okay... Anyway, are you gonna...?" Hunter began to question Masha, before they put their hand up.

"Nah, I won't rat on you. You're all good." Masha assured them all.

They all sighed in relief, "Thanks Masha!" Luz said.

"No problem... I do have one request though." Masha replied.

"What is it?" Willow asked.

"I want access to this Boiling Isles thing Vee mentioned." Masha answered.

"Oh, is that it? Done." Luz said in response, "We'll show you the portal door later. Right now, we have a lot of work to do back in the Demon Realm."

"Then go on ahead... I can hold down the fort while you're gone." Masha offered.

"That would be wonderful, gracias!" Camila thanked them.

"No problem." Masha nodded.

"Well, we should get going." Amity said, "The sooner we get back to the Isles, the better."

"Hey! Since this Masha person knows about everything, can I be let out of here?" King asked, muffled inside the zipped backpack.

Vee was startled, "Who said that?! Luz, I think your backpack is alive!" she exclaimed.

Luz couldn't help but chuckle in amusement, she had a LOT to catch Vee up on.
