The Halloween rule
OnceUponAChloe asked for a oneshot of Emma and Hook wearing revealing costumes and her parents' reactions. I know it's a bit late for Halloween but hey ho! EmmaAthena2013, I think if you look at Chapter 98 "little troublemakers" that should answer your request, hope you like it! :)
"Snow, do we have to go like this?" Charming grimaced. "I feel ridiculous."
"Come on Charming, it's a Halloween party everyone looks ridiculous!" Snow told him, pulling him along. The pair were wearing costumes to make them out to be Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. "Besides, it'll be a nice surprise for Emma. She doesn't know we got Ashley to have Neal stay over at hers for the night. We don't get to go out with her much." Snow pleaded. Charming sighed. She knew Emma was a weak spot of his. So he let his wife pull him along a little easier all the way to the Rabbit Hole where the party was being held. Charming and Snow still weren't too familiar with the club environment. They much preferred Granny's- it was less noisy and your shoes didn't stick to the floor.
"Can you see Emma and Hook?" Charming yelled to his wife over the roar of the music. Snow shook her head, scanning the crowd. Charming saw her face light up, indicating that she'd found her, but then she grimaced slightly, making Charming think something was wrong. Charming followed her line of vision and understood her grimace. He did not like Emma's outfit at all. Hook was wearing a reasonable Batman costume…but Emma's Robin suit was not like any Robin Charming had ever seen on TV. He did not like it one bit. Charming marched over to the pair who still had their backs to him with Snow following behind.
"Charming, stay calm!" She yelled. "It's all just a bit of fun!"
"The way he is looking at my daughter is not just a bit of fun!" Snow rolled her eyes.
"Can you honestly say you've never looked at me like that before?" She questioned him. Charming huffed.
"Not the same." He grumbled, walking over to Hook. "What the Hell-" He began, with Hook still facing away from him. By this point Emma had gone up to the bar. "Is she wearing?"
"I don't know mate." Hook answered, not sure who was talking to him. "I don't know who I am, but she said for her to have to wear that I had to wear this, and there was no way I was missing out on seeing her like that! I think I'll ask her to keep it on tonight…hello there mate!" Hook said sheepishly as Charming spun him around. Snow was shaking her head. Stupid move. "I thought you weren't coming because you had to look after the nipper?"
"We got a sitter. And thought we'd surprise our daughter." Charming said, shrugging his jacket off as Emma came back over.
"Mom, dad?" She asked, face going pink. "I didn't know you were coming…" Charming held the jacket out to Emma who looked at it like it had grown mould. Snow took it off him.
"Don't be a spoil sport." She said gently. "Let them have their fun." Snow then turned to Hook. "But we'd rather not hear anything about it. Alright?" Hook nodded.
"Perfectly fine with me." Snow and Charming went over and each kissed Emma on the cheek.
"I'll keep him out of view as much as possible." She promised. Emma nodded gratefully.
"Maybe we could meet up for lunch at Granny's tomorrow when I have…other clothes on?"
"More. More is the word you're looking for." Charming said huffily. Snow gently nudged him in the ribs.
"Come on Woody." She said, taking his hand and pulling him to the other side of the dance floor. "Show me some of your moves." Charming did his best to keep his focus on his wife and not give warning growlers over to the pirate. Sure Emma was a big girl and there wasn't really anything he could do about it. But he didn't have to like it!
