Bath time breakout
A guest asked for a oneshot of little Emma during bath time refusing to come out. When she does she doesn't want any clothes on. Snow nurses her to calm her down. Also for the guest that asked for another one for ni-mis. We do seem to have fans of breastfeeding reading this story!
"Please Emma." Snow begged. "Bath time is over now. We need to get you ready for bed."
"No!" Emma screamed, making a forceful splash in the water. Snow counted to ten slowly in her head. Emma was giving herself a head start on her terrible twos.
"Yes, Emma. It's bed time now." Snow tried to reason with her daughter.
"NO!" Emma repeated. She blanked out her mom and started to play with her toy boat. Snow, having had enough, plucked the boat from her daughter's hands and placed it outside of the bath…causing Emma to start to scream.
"I'm sorry Emma but you need to stop playing now." Snow said loudly so as to be heard over her daughter's screams. Snow decided enough was enough and simply picked the kicking and screaming Emma up out of the bath and began to dry her off. Emma did her best to wriggle free from her mother's grasp, but Snow was doing a good job of holding onto her. She'd managed to dry everywhere except her hair and stick her cloth drawers on her (she wasn't yet old enough to be potty trained) when Emma managed to squirm loose and shot out of the room.
"Emma!" Snow called, exasperated. "Emma Ruth you stop right now!" All Snow got in return was a cheeky giggle. Snow didn't want her running around with barely any clothes and wet hair during the winter, she could catch her death. But she wasn't making it easy for her mother to catch her. For someone with such little legs Emma sure could move fast! Fortunately for Snow, Charming was on the same floor of the castle and managed to capture their daughter when she wasn't expecting him.
"Gotcha!" He shouted, scooping her up. Emma's giggling was suddenly replaced by outraged screams. Snow gave her husband a grateful smile as she took their daughter from him. After all, it was her night to put Emma to bed. "Have fun." He grimaced, noticing their daughter's mood.
"Oh I'm sure I will." Snow said sarcastically. "I'll see you soon…well, maybe not so soon." When she got to bed very much depended on when Emma decided she would sleep. Charming gave an understanding smile.
"Well if you need any help just let me know."
"I will." Snow called as she carried Emma back to her bedroom, making sure to shut the door so Emma couldn't escape again. Emma was still screaming like a banshee. "Emma baby calm down. You need to have dry hair and put your nightdress on. You'll get sick if you don't and we don't want you getting sick.
As Snow dried Emma's hair the screaming gradually slowed to a sad little whimper and sniffles that continued after Snow got Emma into her nightdress. Snow picked her up and carried her over to rocking chair where she wiped away any stray tears. "There. All better. Does Emma need some help to calm down?"
"Yeah." Emma whimpered.
"Ok baby." Snow said, cradling Emma against her and pulling her top up. As Emma calmed herself Snow rocked with her gently back and forth. When she was done, Snow got herself back together and cuddled Emma close to her. "That better, huh baby?"
"Yeah." Emma said sleepily.
"Good." Snow whispered, carrying Emma over to her little bed and setting her down. She gently kissed Emma's forehead. "Sleep well my little angel." Snow whispered, tiptoeing out of the room. Snow walked through to their room where Charming was waiting for her.
"Finally." He murmured into her ear after she'd got changed and joined him in the bed. "Emma not go down without a fight?"
"She needed help calming down." Snow said, relaxing into his arms.
"Ahh." He said, understanding. "Well, you got her to sleep. That's the main thing."
"We'll need to get a lock on the bathroom door. Emma's too good at escaping. Charming chuckled.
"I see we have another bandit princess on our hands." Snow gently nudged him in the ribs.
"Emma will not need to run from home. She'll stay right here."
"Uh huh." Charming said, knowing fine well that Emma was going to be juuuuust like her mother. Well, accept from his charm of course.
