A most honourable battle
Dancing4Every1 asked for a oneshot of Henry and Charming having a food fight and then being told off by Snow and Emma.
(4x07 spoilers) Snow…dear oh dear oh dear…Not how I see her at all, badly written IMO.
"She knows I hate peppers." Henry grumbled, poking at his spaghetti bolognese.
"Come on. Your mom just wants to make sure you get some vegetables." Charming tried to coax him. Henry looked up at him.
"You don't like them either. I've seen you gather them in your napkin before." Charming went slightly pink at being caught.
"Ah…well yes, they're not my favourite vegetable…but I'm an adult, you're a kid. You have to eat your veg."
"Oh yeah," Henry said, a mischievous smirk tugging at his lips. He pushed his grandpa's plate towards them. "Then you eat yours. No hiding them in your napkin this time."
"Oh no." Charming said, pushing the plate back again. "Do as I say, not as I do."
"Come on, chicken?" Henry challenged. Charming raised an eyebrow.
"Is this a challenge, young knight?"
"Oh yeah. It's on." Henry was in such a rush to pick up his fork that he wasn't careful enough and spaghetti went flying towards his grandpa and hit him in the face. Henry covered his mouth, but even still a little laughter got out.
"Sorry." He mumbled, still trying to hide the laughter. Charming picked up his napkin and slowly wiped the food from his face, then picking up his own fork.
"Oh, you will be…now it's really on."
Just ten minutes later and the whole kitchen was covered in spaghetti bolognese. And that's how Snow and Emma walked into it. Charming and Henry was so engrossed in their battle that they didn't notice them.
"What is going on here?!" Snow yelled appalled. Henry and Charming stopped and were only now aware of the state of the kitchen. Both gulped, they were in trouble.
"Um…it was grandpa?" Henry tried, giving a cute smile.
"It was not!" Charming replied, sounding as young as his grandson.
"Oh no. Don't you blame your grandfather. Super power kid, I can tell that you're lying. I am incredibly disappointed with you." Henry hung his head in shame. "You are not leaving this room until it is absolutely spotless." Henry nodded, going to the cupboard to get the mop.
"The same goes for you, David." Charming knew he was in trouble now, she only ever called him David when she was mad. "You were meant to be the responsible adult in this situation.
"Yes dear." Charing said, mortified. He went to the sink to get some soapy water ready. Snow and Emma shared a look. Boys, they never really grow up.
