One moment

A guest asked for a oneshot of a five year old Emma having a temper tantrum in Storybrooke and Charming smacking her. She then runs to Snow for comfort. Charming realises his mistake and explains to Emma. She apologises and lets Charming comfort her. So kinda self-explanatory but this chapter will contain a smack so if that upsets you don't read it please!

To the guest who asked for a new story of Emma shrinking herself down to 3 or 4: of course I wouldn't mind writing that for you at some point in the future. Might take a while as I still have to go back to my story Lapse 2 and finish it. Thank you for all your praise, it's much appreciated. But to save you waiting, have you checked out "Munchkin" by Charming88? I know you said you've read a few stories like the one you requested but maybe you missed this one. I personally find it very good :).

"NO!" Emma screamed, stamping her foot.

"Yes." Charming sighed. "Emma, you are going to tidy up your room."

"No no no!" Emma shouted defiantly. Charming was beginning to lose his patience. Emma had been having one of her off days. She just wasn't doing as she was told. Charming had been left on his own with her like this whilst Snow went out and did the groceries.

"Emma Ruth, if you do not begin to tidy up these toys right now you are going straight to time out. Am I clear?" Charming said, voice low and dangerous. Emma just shook her head, folding her arms across her chest. Charming sighed, taking hold of Emma's hand to lead her to the time out chair. Emma, not having any of it, reached out with her foot and kicked Charming right in the shin. She could tell from the way he yelled out that she was really in trouble. Charming lost it completely just for a second. Emma had driven him past his breaking point. He reached down and gave her a swift smack to her bottom. As soon as Charming heard Emma start wailing he realised what he'd done. "Emma, daddy's sorry. Come here angel…" But Emma wouldn't let him hug her. They heard the door being opened, and both realised it must be Snow.

"Mommy!" Emma bawled, running from the room and down the stairs. Snow dropped the shopping as Emma ran into her arms quite unexpectedly.

"Hey there baby. What's wrong?" Snow asked, alarmed. This wasn't like Emma at all.

"Da-daddy hitted me!" Emma wailed. Snow looked past Emma to where Charming was standing.

"She kicked me in the shin and I gave her a smack." Charming said, feeling awful. I tried to apologise, but she doesn't want to talk to me." Snow's heart went out to her husband. Emma could be pretty trying when she was in was in this kind of mood.

"Emma, you're alright. Come on baby, calm down." Snow said soothingly. But Emma refused to calm down. She simply wailed in her mother's arms. Snow carried Emma through to the living room and sat down with her, trying to get her to stop crying. Charming decided to leave Emma to calm down and put the shopping away for Snow before going back in. By this point Emma's wails had subsided to a quiet snivelling.

"Emma." He said quietly, going over to her. Emma shook her head against her mother's shoulder. "Emma honey, come on. Talk to daddy, please? I'm very sorry for hitting you. I was just very mad because you hit daddy first. But that doesn't mean I was right. Come on, big hug for daddy?" Slowly, Emma turned around in her mother's lap and allowed Charming to pick her up…where she burst into tears all over again.

"I-I-I'm sorry daddy!" She cried. Charming rocked with her gently.

"Hey, none of that beautiful. It's all forgotten now, ok?"

"Ok." Emma sniffed. Charming set her back down.

"No, what do you say we go tidy your room together?" Emma nodded, taking her dad's hand and walking with him back up the stairs.
