Grandma we love you

A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma and her parents discussing the fact that Regina is technically her step-grandmother.

Emma grimaced at the antics of Marie on "Everybody loves Raymond".

"I think if my grandma was like that I'd die of embarrassment sometimes." She admitted as she watched the show with her parents. It was then that a thought struck Snow and she started to giggle. "What?" Emma asked, Charming also turned and looked at Snow, wondering why she was laughing.

"Well, have a think about who your grandma is." Snow pointed out. This didn't really help Emma. Charming, however, did catch on and also started to laugh.

"I've seen the book. My grandmas were Eva and Ruth. What's so funny about them? It's hardly any more laughable than Snow White and Prince Charming." Emma said grouchily. She was now beginning to get annoyed, feeling left out of the joke.

"Yes, they were your grandmas." Snow said, calming herself down just enough to answer Emma. "I mean your step-grandma." Emma's eyes widened in realisation. Regina.

"Oh my gosh." She said, slightly horrified. "Regina! She's my grandma!" Emma then joined her parents in the fits of laughter. "Ok, Marie doesn't seem so bad now." Emma said, wiping a tear from her eye. "At least Marie didn't try and kill Raymond…or Debra…or the kids. Regina would have made a bitch of a mother in law." Emma said, bursting into laughter again. "Talk about monster in law!"

"I'd rather have her as my mother in law than my grandma! Lest assured Emma, you would not have been spending weekends at her place growing up…and Neal won't be either. I know she's changed but at the very least she'd try and have him turn your mother into a frog temporarily." Emma couldn't help herself. She reached for the phone and dialled Regina's number.

"Hey Grandma!" She said, as soon as Regina answered. Snow and Charming looked at her horrified. Did Emma have a death wish?!

"Miss Swan, what on Earth do you mean?" Regina asked coolly.

"Oh come on grandma, think about it! You're my mom's step mom. That makes you my step grandma doesn't it? You owe me a heck of a lot of birthday and Christmas presents…hello?" Regina had hung up. Emma looked up at her parents horrified faces. "…Should we run now?"
