Have more faith
mariebm asked for a oneshot of Emma losing control again but Charming doesn't show fear, which helps Emma calm down. May I add I'm pretty chuffed. If you check out my last chapter you'll see I guessed the picture of Emma Snow and Charming would be referring to was taken at the welcome back party. I was right!
The red sparks started dancing around her hands again.
"Shit." Emma said under her breath. She shook her hands under her desk, trying to get rid of them. She didn't want her dad to notice. She didn't want to panic him again.
"Do you need a moment?" He asked kindly. Emma shook her head, giving him her best fake smile.
"No, I'm good."
"Emma, I can see the sparks." Charming told her. Emma's face paled. What if he got mad at her? "It's ok honey. It's no big deal." Wait, what? Why wasn't he mad? Emma was so confused as to why he wasn't mad or frightened, that she didn't notice her hands had stopped sparking. "See, there you go." Charming said, nodding at her hands. "You've stopped it yourself. You need to have more faith in yourself, Emma. You're a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for." Charming told her, Emma just shrugged, going back to her paperwork. She wasn't sure she believed him yet, but maybe she would one day soon.
