Emma's in a huff

Holly08 asked for a oneshot of Emma and Snow have a fight after chapter 152.

"Emma Swan I know you're in there!" Snow shouted, banging on her front door. "If you want to hide from me don't suddenly duck down behind the chair when you see me coming!"

"Sorry, Emma's not in just now. Try again later." Emma called from the hall. Snow took a deep breath, barely restraining herself from booting the door down.

"Emma," Snow began in a forced voice of calm. "It's been a week and you've been ignoring both mine and your father's calls. Please let me in."

"Oh, I see. So I'm banished from your house but you're allowed in mine when you feel like gracing me with your presence?" Emma said sarcastically.

"Emma you're perfectly aware that's not the case." Snow snapped. "Your brother has chicken pox. You have never had chicken pox. It's a lot more dangerous as an adult and your father and I don't want you getting seriously ill. That does not mean we don't want to see you." Snow tried to reason with her.

"What makes you so sure that I'll get it now since I never got it as a child? Anyway, you managed without me for twenty eight years I'm sure we'll both be alright until you feel I'm not going to drop dead visiting my little brother." Emma answered her, slightly more venomous than normal. Snow could feel the tears building up behind her eyes.

"That's not funny, Emma." She said quietly. "And quite a low blow." Emma now felt quite bad. She hadn't really meant it. She'd just said it in the heat of the moment. Snow heard the key turning in the lock. She opened the door and saw Emma standing rather sheepishly in the hall.

"I'm sorry." She said, voice laced with guilt. "I'm just frustrated knowing that he wants me and I can't see him. I didn't mean what I said." Snow moved forward and wrapped her arms around Emma.

"I know you didn't. I know you don't like this, none of us do either. We want to have you in the house with us as much as possible. But we don't want you to end up in hospital. You understand, don't you?" Emma nodded against her mom's shoulder. "Good. It'll be back to normal soon. Neal's getting better every day. But why don't you and I spend some time together? We can watch a movie and I'll make some hot cocoa." Snow suggested.

"As long as you make it with cinnamon." Emma mumbled. Snow chuckled.

"Of course I will honey."
