Reunions are beautiful

Samgirl7860 asked for a oneshot of Shang and Mulan reuniting and this prompting Emma to tell her parents how she felt when they were reunited.

It was a beautiful scene to behold. True love- together again. The Charming family almost felt intrusive being there. When the curse brought them to Storybrooke a second time Mulan had been pulled up in it. She came to Emma and Charming at the Sheriff's station to see if they could help her find Shang in the hope he too had been brought to Storybrooke. It was a lot smaller than the Enchanted Forest and with much more technology so he would be easier to find. With the chance for another adventure (and a less dangerous one at that) Snow too jumped at the chance to help and left Neal with Belle. It didn't take long to find him. A few interviews to the right people and they found he was a leader at the Army Cadets and stayed in an apartment close by their hall.

"It's nice, isn't it?" Snow sighed. "To see love back together again." Charming nodded in agreement, finding Snow's hand and intertwining it with his.

"Yeah. If a little scary." Emma said. Her parents gave her curious looks.

"Scary?" Charming quizzed her. Emma nodded.

"Well yeah. It's been years since they've seen each other. Will things be the same? Mulan's felt unloved for a long time. Suddenly-bang. Someone's here that loves her more than life itself. It's a lot to cope with." Charming and Snow were pretty sure they knew what Emma was really talking about. Snow smiled at her daughter.

"I think 'Mulan's' coping very well. She just needs to remember that Shang does love her so very much, and she can trust him." Snow pointed out. Neither parent missed the slight blush on Emma's cheeks as she gave a brisk nod.

"Well. Our job is done. We'd best be heading back and let them catch up. I'm sure they'll have a lot to cover."

"Yeah." Charming agreed. "Enough for a few years I'll bet." He added under his breath. There was still so much he and Snow wanted to know about their daughter. Still so much they regretted missing. Slowly but surely, they were getting there.
