It's ok

I've had a few requests both for the Snow Queen taking care of Emma and her adopting Emma as a new born. So, I've combined the two and I hope you enjoy!

Ingrid sat in the rocking chair, gently swaying back and forth with little Emma. She'd waited so patiently, but now the saviour was here. Already abandoned by her family, but it was ok. They would be each other's family now. Emma started to fuss slightly in Ingrid's arms.

"Shh, you're ok." Ingrid cooed. "I've got you." She quickly checked that none of the other children were peeking into the room before creating a perfect little snowflake mobile for Emma. The little girl settled almost as quickly as she had begun to stir. Staring contently at the magical creation. "There. All better. See, Emma, magic isn't scary. It's pretty, isn't it? You're going to have your own magic one day, you know. And some people might not understand. They might tell you that you're dangerous, but you're not. You're just learning to control it. But its ok, Emma, I'll be here for you. I'll help you learn how to control it. We're family. The people who gave you up aren't your real family. They don't love you, they can't. They don't understand you, but I do." Ingrid carefully held Emma up and kissed her forehead. "It's ok, my sweet girl, you won't ever be alone like I was. I'll always be here for you."
