Sissy's voice

Dutchwriter asked for a oneshot Emma unconsciously singing to herself and in doing so helping settle a fussy Neal.

Anon, check out my story "A lapse of concentration". Plenty moody teen Emma there for you! :)

Guest who asked for a oneshot of Emma helping the girl in the crowd in 3x21, I'm afraid I didn't fully understand your request, could you please explain it a little more for me?

And on a last side not oh dear guest you do seem to have a bit of an issue with me. I think you'll know if I'm talking to you. I just don't understand people who keep reading my story if they don't like my style. Anyway, I don't particularly like airing my dirty laundry in public so if you have an issue with me please feel free to either create an account or log in and we can have a nice civil chat or just stop reading if you don't like my writing. Honest, I won't take offence :).

But to the rest of you thank you for your continued support. You have no idea how much it means 3.

Snow did her best to try and comfort her little boy without upsetting the peace in the room. Henry had gone up to bed about an hour ago, and Charming was reading quietly whilst Emma doodled in a little notebook she kept. Each with a mug of hot cocoa close by their side. And that's when it happened. Emma quite often would subconsciously sing as she doodled. And it appeared her little brother liked it.

"Of all the money that e'er I had. I spent it in good company." Emma sang almost so quietly Snow couldn't hear it. But clearly Neal could. He stopped his fussing almost immediately, and gurgled contently. "And all the harm I've ever done. Alas it was none but to me…" Neal's eyes started to flutter closed. Charming was looking up now too. He often did when Emma began to sing. She had such a beautiful voice. He looked over to Snow who gestured to Neal. Charming understood instantly and smiled warmly. Their little boy clearly also loved his sister's voice.

About halfway through the song Neal was out for the count. Snow slowly got up and walked out the room to put him in his crib. Emma stopped singing when she noticed her mom leaving.

"Neal fell asleep." Charming whispered. "He liked his sissy's singing voice." Emma blushed lightly under the praise. She hadn't noticed she'd been singing out loud. She felt pretty proud of herself for getting him to settle so quickly. Maybe she should offer to babysit more often.
