A telling off
A guest asked for a oneshot of Charming disciplining Henry for leaving the apartment to find Emma when her powers were out of control.
Henry looked up from his bed when he heard a short knock at the door.
"Yeah?" He called, keeping the icepack behind his ear. His grandpa came into the room, a serious look on his face. Henry grimaced, that look meant he was in trouble. "Hi." He said sheepishly.
"Hi." Charming said sternly. Charming sighed, there was going to be no easy way to do this, but it had to be done. Henry had to know he couldn't just put himself into danger like that. "Look kiddo, what you did today. That wasn't the most sensible thing to do. You could've been a lot worse off than a cut behind the ear. Can you imagine what that would have done to your mom knowing that she'd really? Or how your other mom would've reacted and the trouble that might have caused between us all?" Henry suddenly felt really stupid for going after Emma. He pulled his knees up to his chest on the bed and shrugged.
"I was just trying to help." He mumbled. Charming walked over to the bed and sat down beside him.
"I know you were buddy. But for you to help just now we need you to stay here. I know that doesn't feel much like helping, but it is. It means we're not having to worry about keeping you safe whilst sorting out Emma's powers."
"Ok." Henry said quietly. He didn't like being told to sit nice and be a good little boy. He could help, he just wished they would let him. Charming ruffled his hair, getting up.
"That's my boy. I'll call you down for dinner, ok?" Henry nodded in response. Charming knew he was miffed. But he didn't want Henry getting hurt, so he'd settle with his grandson being in a bit of a huff with him if it kept him out of harm's way.
