Another addition
A guest asked for a oneshot of a follow up to "A new addition" where Snowing and their daughters are joined by baby Neal.
"Now remember." Charming whispered. "We need to be calm and quiet. Mommy is very tired, and your new brother is very fragile so we need to be gentle around him. Ok girls?"
"Ok." They whispered together.
Emma hid slightly behind her father as he opened the door to his and Snow's room. Her parents knew she was quite nervous about the new arrival. Emma was confused. She wouldn't be the baby anymore. But unlike Stephanie she wasn't the big girl either. So who was she? Snow smiled lovingly at her husband and daughters, baby Neal nestled happily in her arms.
"Look Neal." She cooed to her son. "Your big sisters are here to say hello. Isn't that nice?" Stephanie confidently let go of her father's hand and climbed up onto the bed beside her mother, looking adoringly at her new baby brother. Emma was more reluctant, just staring from her father's side.
"Go on." He whispered encouragingly, giving the four year old a gentle little push. Emma was still nervous. Did they have to keep the baby? Could they give him back? Snow could see her youngest daughter standing there looking anxious. She smiled, shifting Neal into one arm and holding her free hand out to Emma.
"Come on baby. Come meet your brother. He's been waiting to see you both."
"I'm not the baby. He is." Emma said sadly. "And Stephanie's the big girl. So who am I?" Snow and Charming could see Emma's bottom lip begin to quiver. Charming quickly moved over and scooped her up.
"All three of you are our babies." Charming assured her. "We didn't love Stephanie any less when you were born did we?" Emma shook her head. "Exactly. So we won't love either of you any less now that Neal's here." Charming kept moving and sat on the edge of the bed with Emma in his lap. She peaked out curiously at the tiny baby in her mother's arms. Snow smiled, reaching out and touching each daughter's cheek. She caught her husband's eye and they shared a knowing smile. Their little family- it was now the perfect size for them.
