A/N: Welcome back to Sympho-Ball!

I've honestly wanted to work on this fic again for quite some time, so now I've adjusted my schedule to bring you chapters alongside my other fics.

But with that out of the way, here's the next chapter for Sympho-Ball! I hope you enjoy!

Last time on Sympho-Ball

Having been sent to Earth thanks to his father, Bardock, Kakarot finds himself in the company of three men, one of which would go on to be his adoptive father, Genjuro Kazanari.

Years later, Kakarot, now named Goku Kazanari, would be invited to go on a grand adventure around the world, while his cousin, Tsubasa Kazanari, would stay behind to become a strong protector and an idol. Despite their different paths in life, the two promised they would meet again someday.

Nine more years pass, and the promise they made as kids would come true. However, unbeknownst to both of them, this reunion is not just for the Kazanari cousins, but also for the idol's partner, Kanade Amou.

The unexpected reunion continues, now.

The long-awaited promise fulfilled. Goku vs. Zwei Wing!

Flashback:
Age 2033

Two girls could be seen climbing a mountain outside of a local village. The taller of the two had wild red hair and darker red-colored eyes to match while the shorter of them had brown hair that was more put together than the former and she had amber-colored eyes. "Oneesan... Where are we going?" The shorter of the two called out to the elder.

The elder sister looked back at her struggling younger sister and smirked as she showed her what looked like a pocket-watch that would only tell time and nothing else, but instead, this one had a green interface that had an orange sphere blinking every couple of seconds. "Don't worry, Tori, we're almost there!" The girl said confidently.

"But you still haven't even told me what we're searching for..." Tori replied. "And we've been walking for a while now. If we go any farther, Momma and Papa will get worried about us, Kanade."

"I know, Tori, I remember all too well what happened last time I got punished for wandering off on my own. But, this time is different! Thanks to this pocket-watch-thingy I found in town, I can easily find our way back!" Kanade said. "As for what we're searching for, have you ever heard about something called 'The Dragon Balls'?"

"Only the story Momma and Papa told me when I was younger." Tori answered.

"Well... What they haven't told us is that they're completely legit, and this baby's gonna lead us right to one of them!" Kanade said.

At first, Tori was surprised by Kanade's claim of the Dragon Balls being real, but then, she remembered who she was talking to about something like this. "Where did you get that, Oneesan?" She asked.

"Oh, uh, y'know... Just found it while I was walking through the village." Kanade said with a nervous chuckle. "No one was around, so I figured I could keep it. Hehe..."

Tori gave her sister a very judgmental stare. "Kanade."

Knowing her sister saw through her lie, she gave up trying to hide the truth. "Okay, fine! I overheard some passers-by talking about it and I became interested. So, I asked if I could borrow the device, because I told them I knew where one could be located and they were cool about it." ...Tori didn't believe that second half for a second. "FINE! I STOLE IT! HAPPY NOW?"

"Not until you find the people you stole that from and apologize!" Tori lectured, disappointed in her elder sister.

"Okay... You're right..." Kanade sighed. "I shouldn't have stolen it and I should go back and apologize... afterIfindthatdragonball."

"KANADE!" Tori shouted.

"Hey, did you hear that?" A masculine voice asked from far away, which caught both girls' attention. "I think there are others on this mountain."

"Everyone! Stay alert!" Another voice shouted. "That monkey kid that destroyed Muscle Tower could be close!"

"O-Oneesan?" Tori asked, her tone going from judgmental to scared. "What should we do?"

Kanade quickly surveyed the area, before seeing a cave entrance up ahead. "Over there! Hurry!"

Doing their best to avoid being seen by the strangers who were alerted by their presence on the mountain, Kanade and Tori ran as far as they could into the cave to avoid being seen. Once they were a safe distance away from the entrance, they watched as they saw several men dressed in khaki shirts and navy blue pants run past.

They waited for what felt like a couple minutes before checking to see if the coast was clear. "Do you think they're gone, Oneesan?" Tori asked.

"I don't know..." Kanade replied. "But I'd rather not stick around to find out if they're waiting for us on the other side. We should look for another way out."

Tori was shocked by this suggestion. "B-But Kanade! We could get lost in here!"

"Considering our options are getting lost in a cave or becoming prisoners to those men, I'll take my chances with the former." Kanade said as she began walking further into the cave, forcing her sister to follow her against her better judgment.

The girls walked through the seemingly endless cave, looking for an exit or something that could lead to one. But, the further they traveled, the slimmer their hopes of finding a new exit became. "Kanade... Can we go back?" Tori asked. "I'm sure the men are gone and we can go home safely now..."

"We've come too far to take that risk, Tori." Kanade replied. "We can't give up now. I'm sure that any minute now we'll come across something that leads to an exit."

"But-"

Kanade stopped dead in her tracks. "Tori! Look!" She gasped, pointing towards something that immediately got rid of any sense of dread in their hearts. "That could be our way out!"

"Let's go!" Tori shouted as she and Kanade began sprinting towards the light, even if their bodies were begging them to stop.

Reaching the source of the light, Kanade and Tori were met with a larger dome-like room within the cave. In this room there were two major things of note: A makeshift skylight that lit up the room, and a mysterious orange orb with four red stars on it. "Is that..."

"A Dragon Ball?!" Kanade gasped, interrupting her sister's similar train of thought as she rushed over to pick up the ball and shove it into her bag. "So that pocket-watch thingy wasn't just some weird hunk of junk after all! Wait until Mom and Dad see this!"

"I never would have imagined that Momma and Papa's story was real." Tori said, still in awe of what she was looking at.

"Alright, now that we got what I was lookin' for, it's time to go back to the village, find that lady I borrowed-"

"Stole from"

"Right, Right. Find the lady I stole from, apologize, and bring this back to Mom and Dad." Kanade said. "Now then, all we need to do is follow the signal of the other balls the girl had and we'll..." Kanade felt around in her bag for the pocket-watch, but she couldn't feel it. She began to search faster in her bag, even looking directly in it, but she still couldn't see it. However, in this moment of panic, Kanade realized something. "Oh no..."

"What's wrong, Oneesan?" Tori asked.

Kanade nervously grinned at her little sister. "Hehe... Remember when we were in a hurry to get out of sight a few minutes ago?"

"Yeah...?" Tori said, confused where her sister was going with this.

"Well..."

"Looking for this?" A masculine voice called out, before several men swarmed the room they were in, their guns pointed right at them. "Now, our intel led us to believe only one person had something like this on them, which makes me wonder how some children such as yourselves could have ended up with a device just like it."

The source of the voice emerged from the crowd, revealing a burly man who showed the pocket-watch to the girls. The man in question was wearing a similar uniform to the other soldiers, but his uniform had more ribbons and decorations on it, implying that he was in charge of the soldiers. As for how he looked, the man had a reddish-orange mohawk and blue eyes. His facial features aside, it was clear to the girls that this man wouldn't let them go easily.

"Wh-Who are you people?" Tori asked.

"I believe the only person that deserves having questions answered here is me." The man retorted. "Now, where did you get this device? If you answer this question for me, you both are free to go."

"And if I refuse?" Kanade asked.

"Then you will be forced to answer that question at headquarters. The hard way."

"C'mon now, you wouldn't hurt a girl, would you?" Kanade teased.

"Kanade, I don't think it's a good idea to tease him like that..." Tori said.

The man looked behind Kanade at her sister hiding behind her back. He stared at Tori for a moment, before a smirk grew on his face. "You're right, I wouldn't hurt a girl, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to get one harmed either." The man said, which confused the girls as the man turned to the soldiers closest to him. "Take the younger one."

Suddenly, the soldiers rushed Kanade and Tori, quickly separating them and holding the latter hostage. "Hey! Let her go!" Kanade screamed as more soldiers held her back.

Seeing this rebellious struggle take place, The commanding officer pulled out his gun from its holster and aimed it at Tori. "Keep struggling and her death will be your fault, child!" The man shouted, which made Kanade stop struggling. "Now, you will tell me where you got that device, or else I will not hesitate to kill her. Do you understand?"

"O-Oneesan! Please just tell him where you got the device!" Tori begged. "I don't want to die!"

Kanade started to panic. "I... I stole it." Kanade confessed.

"You stole this device?" The man asked. "Who exactly did you steal this from and when?"

"I-I don't know who they were, okay?!" Kanade shouted, scared for her sister's life. "I just overheard them talking about the Dragon Balls, so I took the device while they weren't paying attention, got my sister, and came straight here. That's honestly all I know about them."

The man's glare hardened after Kanade finished telling him what she knew. The man had trouble believing that was all she knew about the original owners of the pocket-watch, however, he wouldn't be able to question her further as a man would come running in with urgent news. "General Gold, sir! We have a problem!"

"What is it, soldier?" The man, named Gold, replied. "Whatever this problem is, it had better be good."

"It's him, sir! It's the kid with the monkey tail!"

As he said this, as if it was a miracle at work, an orange blur emerged in the room and knocked out all of the soldiers, save for Gold, Kanade, and Tori. Once the other soldiers hit the ground, the blur stopped right in front of Gold, revealing a boy in an orange gi standing between the commanding officer and the two girls. "Why am I not surprised that the Red Ribbon Army would be as low as being thieves and kidnappers?" The boy rhetorically asked.

"Goku..." Gold growled. "You've been a thorn in the Army's side for far too long. That ends today."

Goku smirked at the threat. "I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm not going to die here." He retorted as he got into a fighting stance. "Bring it on!"

Without another word, Goku and Gold charged at one another. While the latter was easily twice the size of the former, Goku was more than capable of avoiding the majority of Gold's punches and countering with his own. However, Goku's punches barely dealt any damage to Gold. As for the punches that Gold landed, they were more than capable of sending Goku slamming into the cave walls, shaking the room that they and the girls were in.

"Hah... Hah... Man, you're tougher than I thought..." Goku said while catching his breath.

"Like I said, Goku. This is the day you die." Gold retorted.

Goku chuckled. "And like I said, not happening." Goku said. "Time to get serious!" Goku let out a shout, causing a clear aura to surround him before he charged back towards Gold.

Unlike before, Goku's punches were now dealing some damage to Gold, not enough to seriously harm him, but more than enough to knock him around slightly. Despite this boost in power, however, Goku was still at the disadvantage in the fight in terms of overall strength, which worried the girls. "Kanade-neesan, what should we do?" Tori asked, but her sister didn't respond.

Kanade was still in shock at how this kid came out of basically thin air and took out an entire squadron of soldiers in an instant. "The rumors were true after all..." Kanade muttered in shock. "The monkey kid does exist!"

"Kanade!" Tori shouted, which snapped Kanade back to reality. "We need to help him!"

Kanade agreed with her sister that they needed to do something, but what could they do that Goku couldn't do already? However, just as she asked herself this, she remembered the Dragon Ball in her bag and came up with an idea. "I hope this works... Hey! Big guy!" Kanade shouted as she held the Dragon Ball out for Gold and Goku to see. "You want this Ball? Then you can HAVE IT!"

Saying this, Kanade chucked the Dragon Ball at Gold, which bounced right off of him. "...Was that really your best plan?" Gold asked, watching where the Dragon Ball went as it rolled across the room.

"No... Because that was just a distraction." Kanade replied. "This is my best plan!"

Suddenly the sound of gunfire filled the air, followed quickly by Gold shouting in pain as he fell to his knees. While Gold was focused on the Dragon Ball, Kanade grabbed a gun off of an unconscious soldier and fired it right at the general's legs. "You brat!" Gold shouted as he went to punch Kanade for what she did.

"Oh no you don't!" Goku shouted as he ran up to Gold, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks on the injured general, before sending him flying towards the cave wall, making the room shake as he slammed into it, followed closely by another shake when he hit the floor.

"D-Damn you..." Gold muttered before passing out on the ground.

Once he was able to tell that Gold was indeed down for the count, Goku walked up to his unconscious body and took back the pocket-watch. "And next time, don't take things that aren't yours." He said while putting the pocket-watch away. "Hey, are you two alright?"

"Y-Yeah, we're fine." Kanade said. "Thanks for the save."

"No worries! If anything, I should be the one thanking you for the assist." Goku chuckled.

Suddenly, the cave started shaking again, and this time, it wouldn't stop.

"That does not sound good..." Tori said.

"We need to get out of here, fast!" Goku added, quickly grabbing the Dragon Ball before returning to the girls. "Get on my back! I'll get us out of here!"

"Don't gotta tell me twice!" Kanade replied as herself and Tori hopped onto Goku's back, surprising the two girls when the boy jumped through the skylight

Once they were out of the cave, Goku placed the girls down and watched from a safe distance as the cave collapsed in on itself. "Phew... That was a close one!" Goku said. "You two doing okay still?"

"Yes. Thank you, sir!" Tori said.

"That was amazing!" Kanade added. "Who are you?"

"My name is Goku." Goku introduced himself. "Say, what were you girls doing in a place like this anyway?"

Kanade looked back at her younger sister, who nodded for her to tell him the truth, and she sighed. "I'll be honest, Goku-san... I overheard this lady talking about the legendary Dragon Balls and a device she had that let her find them. So, I stole it from her when she wasn't paying attention to it, ran home to get my sister, and took both the device and her to this mountain."

Kanade expected Goku to be mad at her like he was with the general, but he didn't look angry. Instead, he looked at her with a confused expression. "Why here of all places?"

"Our parents told us rumors they heard about a mysterious object that fell onto this mountain a year ago, but no one was able to find whatever it was." Kanade explained. "So when I overheard about a device that locates them, I just had to see if that mysterious object was one of the legendary Dragon Balls."

"Well, I'll give you credit where credit is due. You're really brave, deciding to climb this mountain with your sister." Goku said. "...But you shouldn't have taken the dragon radar behind Bulma's back like that."

"I'm sorry, Goku-san." Kanade apologized. "I just wanted to find it so I could give it to my parents and we'd be able to sell it and go on a vacation together."

"Kanade..." Tori said, not realizing what her sister's intention with the Dragon Ball was before.

Hearing Kanade's reason for stealing the radar, Goku came up with an idea. "Tell you what, how about I talk with my friend Bulma and see if she'd be willing to help you get the money for that family vacation you want?"

"R-Really?!" Kanade asked.

"Sure!" Goku answered. "But let's avoid telling anyone about you stealing the Dragon Radar. It can be our little secret." Goku held out his hand for a handshake.

Seeing this, Kanade smiled and accepted his handshake. "Deal!"

Age 2040
Section Two HQ

Back in the present, Kanade and the other members of Section Two sat down on the couches in the command center and listened to Kanade's retelling of how she met Goku Kazanari.

"And that's how I met your cousin Goku, Tsubasa." Kanade says, having finished her story of how she met Goku.

"Wait a minute..." Bulma says, before turning to face Goku. "You lied to me when you said the Red Ribbon Army stole the radar?!"

"H-Hey, take it easy, Bulma. I only lied because I knew you wouldn't be willing to give her family the money for that vacation she wanted to go on." Goku replies nervously. "By the way, were you able to go on that vacation?"

"We did..." Kanade says.

"Awesome!" Goku cheers. "So what did you do?"

Kanade didn't answer. As a matter of fact, everyone at Section Two HQ fell silent. "Is something wrong?" Bulma asks.

Genjuro cleared his throat and walked over to the two. "I probably should've informed you about this when you got here but... Kanade's family was killed in a Noise attack while they were on vacation." Genjuro explains, making sure to whisper that last part to not upset Kanade.

"Oh no... I'm sorry, Kanade. I had no idea..." Goku apologizes.

"It's fine, Goku-san." Kanade says.

"So, Goku, what have you been up to these last 9 years? I'm sure we're all very curious." Ryoko says, trying to change the subject.

"Oh boy, do I have some stories to tell!" Goku chuckles. "But first, there's something I want to do."

"Are you going to say what I think you are, Goku?" Tsubasa asks.

Goku chuckles again. "Yep! Just like we promised all those years ago! However, I want to see how strong both you and your partner have gotten, Tsubasa."

"Huh?" Kanade gasps. "You sure? I mean, I don't wanna feel like I'm intruding on something important."

"Nonsense, Kanade!" Tsubasa says. "You and I are at our strongest when we fight together, and Goku wishes to see that first-hand."

"Tsubasa's right, Kanade." Goku adds. "Besides, Dad and Ryoko-san told me about how strong both of you were before you got here, and from what I've heard, I'm extra pumped to see your strength personally! So what do ya say?"

Kanade took a moment to think about Goku's offer, then she smirked. "I say you're on!" Kanade answers. "We'll show you just how strong Zwei Wing are. Together!"

"That's the spirit!" Goku cheers. "Alright. Time to see what you two can do!"

With their plans made, Goku, Tsubasa, and Kanade went to the base's training room so that they could spar together. "Wow! This place looks a whole lot bigger since the last time I was here years ago." Goku says, admiring the ample amount of space.

"You can thank Dr. Brief for that." Tsubasa replies. "Over the years, he has modified this room so that it can do all sorts of things."

"This room can do all sorts of cool stuff." Kanade adds. "A personal favorite of mine being this."

Kanade clapped her hands together and, with a bright flash of light, the room changed to look like an arena with stands in every corner. "Not bad." Goku chuckles, before he starts doing stretches in the arena grounds. Once he finished, Goku got himself into his fighting stance and prepared himself for the fight. "Alright. Shall we get started?"

"We shall." Tsubasa answers for herself and Kanade as the duo pull out red pendants that start to glow.

"Croitzal ronzell Gungnir zizzl"
"Imyuteus Ame no Habakiri tron"

Goku watched as the girls became engulfed in orange and blue lights, and once the light dissipated, he was surprised by what he saw: Kanade and Tsubasa's school uniforms had disappeared, and in their place were sets of black and white armor with parts of the armor matching the colors the duo were engulfed in. But that wasn't all.

Alongside the new armor, the girls also had new weapons. Goku watched as Kanade brought her armor's gauntlets together to summon a massive orange spear while Tsubasa took out a device from a compartment in her leggings that transformed into a blue katana. "So. This is the Symphogear System that Ryoko-san told me about?" Goku asks, before a smirk emerges on his face. "Gotta say, that power you're emitting sure is getting me pumped!"

"Good." Tsubasa replies, a similar smirk on her face. "Because it will be wise to not underestimate it and hold yourself back."

"Oh, I had no intention of holding back, Tsubasa." Goku retorts as he releases his power. "Let's get this started!" The combatants stared each other down for a moment, but soon dashed towards one another with their weapons drawn, or in Goku's case, his fists clenched.

The fight started with the fighters pretty much on par with each other, much to the duo's surprise. "Good grief! I can see how you're Boss' kid!" Kanade says.

"I'll take that as a compliment." Goku chuckles as he continues to block and parry the girl's weapons while doing what he could to try and land hits on them.

After a few more seconds of clashing with little damage done by both sides, the combatants backed off to catch their breaths. "I'll be honest, girls, you're pretty strong with your Symphogears." Goku compliments. "However, I feel like you're not giving me your all."

"What?" Tsubasa and Kanade ask in confusion.

"Don't get me wrong. Together, you two are keeping me on my toes like a lot of my opponents have in the past, but much like them, I can tell there's something more to your power." Goku explains.

"Oh yeah?" Kanade asks. "And who's to say you're not doin' the same thing?"

"Kanade!" Tsubasa gasps.

Goku, however, just chuckled. "Well, you wouldn't be wrong..." He says. "To be honest, I held myself back a little bit. But now that I know exactly what you two are capable of, it's time that I show you what I'm truly capable of."

Saying this, Goku started to take off his shoes, his wristbands and his blue undershirt, the latter piece of clothing surprising the girls. "H-Hold on, are you gonna fight us naked?!" Kanade gasps.

Goku stopped for a moment. "What? No." Goku answers. "I'm just taking off my weighted clothing so I can fight you two at my best."

"'Weighted clothing'?" Tsubasa asks.

Kanade laughs at that. "You really think taking off some slightly heavy shirt will make a difference?"

While the girls were doubtful of Goku's clothing, he smirked as he finished taking off his undershirt and tossed it to the side, the shirt hitting the ground much harder than a normal shirt and surprising the girls further. "Ahh... Much better." Goku says, taking a moment to stretch with his weights removed.

"Wha... That's... Not normal..." Kanade says.

"Goku? What is in your shirt?" Tsubasa asks.

"Like I said, it's weighted." Goku answers. "That shirt, my boots, and even my wristbands are weighted. If I remember correctly, they're about 27 kilos each."

"And you were just casually walking around with that on?!" Kanade gasps.

"You're more than welcome to see for yourself after the fight." Goku says as he finishes his stretching. "But for now, let's continue."

Slightly taken aback by the fact Goku talked about wearing 136 kg like it was nothing, the girls resolve themselves and charge towards Goku once again. While they were doubtful of how truthful Goku was with the weights, they would soon find out how true that information really was.

Unlike the beginning of the fight, where they would be on par with Goku, Tsubasa and Kanade couldn't even touch Goku while the latter was able to hit them before they even had a chance to react. "He's so much faster than before..." Tsubasa states.

"Yeah... I think he might not be bluffin' about that weighted clothing..." Kanade adds. "I have an idea. Can you buy me a little time and fight him one on one?"

Tsubasa was confused at what Kanade was planning, but decided to go along with her plan. "Gladly." She says as she holds her sword skyward, summoning a barrage of energy swords.

One Thousand Falling Tears

Seeing this, Goku did what he could to evade the barrage. However, as he was doing this, Tsubasa charged towards him, forcing him to focus on her and the barrage. "So, the Symphogears don't just enhance your strength?" Goku asks.

"Exactly." Tsubasa answers while she continues to slash at Goku, before jumping into the air. "Our Gears are much more than a simple weapon!" Tsubasa held out her sword, making it become larger as it started sparking with electricity. Once it finished transforming, Tsubasa swung the sword downward, creating a large beam of electricity that went straight towards Goku amidst the barrage.

Blue Flash

The beam explodes on impact with the ground, knocking Goku down, only to force him to quickly get up and dodge as Tsubasa tosses several daggers in his direction. "You're incredible, Tsubasa!" Goku says as the barrage finally stopped. "I can tell you've been training really hard these last nine years."

"She's not the only one!" Kanade shouts, catching Goku's attention as he looks over to see the Gungnir wielder engulfed in a ball of light centered around her lance.

Noticing this, Goku immediately tried to get out of the way, but upon trying to move, he found himself unable to. "What?" He says, looking around for what could be holding him in place, only to see a single dagger on the ground his shadow was covering.

Shadow Weaving

Goku wondered how the dagger got there, but then he realized something. The daggers Tsubasa threw weren't meant to hit him, they were meant to hit his shadow. "Looks like Tsubasa's not only a strong fighter, but a smart one, too..." Goku said to himself, impressed by his cousin's technique. "...But if I don't get out of the way soon, I'm toast!" Goku thought quickly of a way to avoid getting hit by Kanade's attack, before getting a brilliant idea and focusing his energy. "Ka... Me... Ha... Me..."

"It's over!" Kanade shouts as she sends her empowered lance flying towards Goku at very high speeds.

SAGITTARIUS∞ARROW

"HAAAA!" Suddenly, just as the lance is about to hit Goku, a beam of energy emerges from beneath his feet, sending him into the air, just barely avoiding the attack from Kanade.

"What?!" Both Tsubasa and Kanade gasp in surprise as they watch him go skyward.

Feet Kamehameha

But Goku wasn't done just because he dodged the attack. While the beam was still active, he redirected his feet upwards and turned himself into a projectile as he came flying towards the duo, leaving them little time to react as they both were hit straight on by Goku's outstretched fists.

Meanwhile, Genjuro, Ryoko, Bulma, and the rest of Section Two's personnel who were on site at the time watched from an observation room as Goku collided with the duo, creating a massive cloud of dust. "Well... For Goku to be able to keep up with not one but two Symphogear wielders giving it their all, the only word that can come to mind is 'Impressive'!" Ryoko says.

"That's Goku for you!" Bulma cheers. "No matter what you throw at him, he'll always find a way to win!"

Genjuro couldn't help but smile the whole time he watched the fight. "Tsubasa. Goku. You've both come so far since you were kids." He said to himself, impressed by their display. "...And your journeys are far from over."

Once the dust started to settle, Kanade and Tsubasa's Symphogears reverted their transformation and themselves and Goku were all lying down on the ground of the simulated arena. Goku was the first of them to get up, chuckling as he struggled to get up. "Man, you two sure are tough." He says.

The girls groaned as they sat up on the ground. Goku walked over and offered them both a hand to get back on their feet. "Hehe. You're not too bad yourself, Goku." Kanade replies. "That thing you did with your feet was hella impressive!"

"I could say the same for the techniques you and Tsubasa both demonstrated in that fight." Goku says. "Needless to say, I'm glad we're on the same side as opposed to being enemies. Hehehe."

"Wait. Does that mean what I think it means?" Tsubasa asks.

"Yep! I'm joining Section Two as a field agent!" Goku says, leading to Tsubasa giving him a big hug.

"That's wonderful news, Goku!" Tsubasa says.

"I'm looking forward to being able to kick some ass with ya!" Kanade adds.

"I'm excited to be working with you girls, too!" Goku replies. "But before that, I believe we have some catching-up to do, yeah?"

"Of course." Tsubasa answers with a smile. "There's so much I want to tell you about, and I'm sure there's plenty you want to share as well."

"You bet!" Goku says... Before his stomach starts to grumble. "...But before that, I need to get myself something to eat. That fight sure worked up an appetite."

"I mean, it's pretty much dinner time anyways. So how about we get grub and then we can talk about the last couple of years, yeah?" Kanade suggests.

"Sounds like a plan to me!" Goku agrees. "Let me just get my stuff and I'll be ready to go."

"Hold on, could I see those weighted clothes of yours real quick?" Kanade asks. "I wanna see if you weren't joking about them being 27 kilos each."

"Sure. Go ahead." Goku says.

With his approval, Kanade and Tsubasa walk over to the weighted clothing and try to lift them up. "HOLY-" Kanade shouts as she strains to lift the shirt off of the ground, still doubting its initial weight despite Goku's warnings.

"You weren't kidding about their weight after all." Tsubasa said as she felt the weight from the two wristbands in her hands, struggling to hold them up due to her fatigue from the fight. "Why would you force yourself to wear these everywhere you go?"

"It's all part of my training." Goku answers. "One of my masters did a similar thing when he was training, only instead of putting weights in his clothes, he wore a giant turtle shell on his back."

"Good grief..." Kanade says in astonishment as she hands him back his shirt.

Back in the observation room, everyone watched as Goku put his weights back on and left to get some food with the duo. "I'd say we're pretty lucky to have those three on our side." Ryoko commented. "And now that we have someone else here who can control ki like that, my experiment may have some excellent results!"

"What experiment?" Bulma asks.

"It's nothing dangerous, I assure you. But it had to be put on hold after Genjuro was promoted to commander of Section Two." Ryoko answers. "I just hope it'll still bring about the desired results after not having the time to work on it the past few years."

"Not to mention how useful it'd be should I or Goku need to step in to deal with the Noise." Genjuro adds.

"Well... If the Commander's okay with it, then I'll take your word about its safety." Bulma replies. "Regardless, I look forward to working with you properly, Ryoko-san."

"Likewise, Bulma-chan."

And thus, the people of Section Two went back to their stations to finish up the remainder of the day's work while Goku, Tsubasa, and Kanade made up for lost time over a big meal (big in terms of how much Goku ended up eating). Either way, everyone at the Special Disaster Response Team looked forward to the future, excited to see what was in store for them.

Age 2042

"'Zwei Wing'?" A girl asks her friend over the phone.

"Yeah." The girl's friend answers. "They're really cool and I definitely think you would like them, Hibiki."

"Oh yeah?" Hibiki says, interested in what her friend was saying about this "Zwei Wing". "Hmm... I've never been to anything like a live concert before..."

"Normally, tickets like these are pretty hard to come by." Hibiki's friend says.

"Now you've got me a little excited about it." Hibiki chuckles. "Okay, I've decided! If you're going Miku, then I'll come with you!"

"Really? Yay! I'm so glad, Hibiki!" Miku cheers. "I promise you won't regret it!"

"Hibiki! Hurry and get in the bath right now, young lady!" A voice calls Hibiki from another room.

"I-I know, I know! I'll get in soon, Granny!" Hibiki replies before going back to her conversation with Miku. "So... What do you think I should wear?"

"...What?"

Next Time on Sympho-Ball...

Hey, It's me! Goku!

Gotta say, it's been nice to make up for lost time with Tsubasa these past couple of years.

I could get used to a life like thi- Huh?!

What are the Noise doing in a place like this?! You're going to do WHAT Kanade?!

Oh man. I really hope Ryoko-san's invention does its job, because it either works now or never!

Next time on "Sympho-Ball":

The Fate of The Gungnir?! The Phonic Ki Gambit!

Don't miss it!

A/N: And with that, we end the chapter!

Like I mentioned in the first chapter, The "Dragon Ball" portion will be shown throughout the duration of the Symphogear arcs. With that, there will be moments that either show how Goku's interactions changed thanks to being raised by Genjuro, or in cases like what was shown in this chapter, how certain Symphogear characters will know Goku. That being said, the latter will be a rarer case because it wouldn't be fair for everyone to just know Goku because of one reason or another.

Speaking of the "Dragon Ball" portion of Sympho-Ball, Tori is not Kanade's sister's real name (to my knowledge). As of this chapter's creation, Kanade's family's names are unknown, so I decided to go with a name that can loosely tie back to the name I've seen people in the fandom refer to her as: Roosterlet. (Tori being a Japanese name that means Bird.)

As for the fight between Goku and Zwei Wing, just before someone asks it, yes, Goku's weights are slightly heavier than they were in the canonical Tien vs Goku fight in the 23rd world tournament. The reason for that is due to both Goku's slightly stronger starting point in this fanfic and the fact that there was still a moment between his fight with Piccolo (Jr.) and Goku as of Age 2040, so it's only fair to give him an adjustment to account for his added strength.

Lastly, just to bring this up as a fun fact, Gold is a real character from Dragon Ball (Specifically brought up in an interview with Toriyama during the Android Saga's Full color volume releases. Props if you know his actual name/the character that's based off of him).

Anyways, thank you for reading this chapter. I shall see you all in the next one!
