Telling them
Sofi asked for a oneshot of Emma telling her parents she's pregnant with Henry (they came with her through the wardrobe).
Emma was wringing her hands in her lap, unable to look at her parents as they sat opposite her in the living room.
"Well Emma, why did you want to talk to us?" Snow prompted her. Emma could feel her brow breaking out in a cold sweat. She had called her parents to talk to them. But suddenly it didn't seem like such a good idea. She couldn't back out now though, they'd find out soon enough.
"You have to promise not to get mad." Emma said quietly. There was a pause as her parents thought the worst.
"We promise nothing. Come on Emma, spit it out." Emma took a deep breath.
"I'm pregnant." She said quickly. Snow and Charming felt like they'd just been slammed into brick walls.
"What?" Charming asked, trying to keep his calm.
"About a month." Emma added. Charming's hands balled into fists. Snow dropped her head into her hands. She was just a child. How was she going to be a mother?
"Who's the father?" Charming asked through gritted teeth. Emma didn't respond. "Emma, answer me." Charming said sternly.
"It doesn't matter. He's long gone." Emma said bitterly. "He got what he wanted and he left."
"Did- did he force you?" Snow asked. She needed to be sure. Emma shook her head.
"No." She answered simply. Charming was taking deep breaths to restrain himself from throwing something against the wall. Some lowlife with their hands all over his baby girl…it was enough to make him sick. But not just their hands…Charming couldn't take it. He got up and stormed out of the house. Emma watched him leave. She wanted to call him back, but she was too afraid she'd see the disappointed look in his eyes. She wasn't to know he wasn't so much disappointed with her- but angry at the man she'd been with. Emma was glad she hadn't given out more information. If they knew he was older Emma was sure her dad wouldn't stop until he hunted him down and tore him apart.
"He'll be back." Snow said quietly. "He just needs time to get his head around this. So do I if I'm honest. Emma, what were you thinking?" Snow asked.
"I thought he loved me." Emma said, looking up. The broken look Emma gave her. Snow could swear her heart shattered into a thousand pieces. She got up from the couch and came over to her, wrapping her into a hug.
"I won't lie to you, this won't be easy." Snow said honestly. "But your father and I will support you all the way. You're our daughter, that doesn't change. Alright?" Emma nodded into her mom's shoulder. She put a hand lightly over her stomach. She could do this- because she wasn't alone.
