Brothers
A guest asked for a oneshot of Regina and Robin's son bonding with Henry.
Henry looked down at the little baby in the crib. His little brother. It was only just beginning to hit him that he was now a big brother. It was a whole heap of new responsibilities.
"Hey there." He whispered nervously down to the squirming little lump. "I'm Henry, your big brother. Well, one of them anyway." Carefully, he reached down and gently touched the baby's cheek.
"I think we're going to be good pals, you and I. Our mom, she's pretty awesome. Well, the one we share. I have two moms. But don't worry, your family is a lot less complicated, you just have one. Our mom, don't think badly of her. She's got issues, and sometimes she slips up. But you need to keep forgiving her. You need to show her that we'll always love her- no matter what. I know it'll be hard, but it's ok. I'll be here to help you." The baby started to whimper slightly. Henry wasn't sure exactly what he was doing, but he gently picked the little boy up and started to rock him. For now, that seemed to settle him. "There, see? We get along already. I'll be here for you, buddy. Always. I've had lots of practice with my Uncle Neal. Again, long story. But all that matters is I'll help look after you. That sound like a good deal? You help me look after mom, and I'll help look after you, ok? The little boy made a gurgling sound. Henry smiled. "I'll take that as a yes."
