Chapter 3
BASH!
Satoru was thrown aback.
'When the hell did Rook get this powerful?" Gojo thought.
But he had no time to think about that, as Rook rushed him rather fearlessly! He was at least five times faster than before, his strikes were harder as he could hit with great precision!
Shin wasn't wasting time in coming in from behind Rook, at hand to hand combat, the two worked together, reading one another's moves at the same time anticipating the other's needs. The whole reason why Gojo is allowing this was the rules they dictated.
"You can't use your technique" Rook stated. "We want to spar with you like Oji. Whenever we ask, he never used his technique or curse energy. He's formidable enough without it and we're still learning" was his argument.
"Does this mean that Shin and Mochi can use theirs?" he asked.
"I'll go without, I am still working on mine again," Shin explained. "Mochi however…"
He looked to Mochi who only smiled warmly to him. "She only has a fire technique right and kittens, so we should be fine" he said and waved off the notion, but he saw the truth. In fact he was just messing with his kids as he saw the shikigami linger around Mochi.
He knows she will be the one to contend with if she is the only one allowed to use curse energy.
Thus their battle.
However… Satoru had no idea how capable his children have become. Rook especially! When Shin backed off, Rook took him on single handedly. And despite the fact that Satoru had four arms… Rook was able to deal with them!
It got to a point where he had to really strike Rook off of him just to get some space between them. "When the hell did you get so strong?!" He asked and laughed.
Rook smirked. "It just appears that way, you have NO idea how to use four arms do you?"
Smartass…
He sneered a little at that comment. Although true, he feels he does better than most in this situation.
"Okay, Shin, ready to kick it up a notch?"
He paused to this. "You weren't trying before?!" Satoru demanded.
"That was the warm up," Rook said proudly. "We're now stretched out, you ready for all three of us now? Mochi hasn't made her move yet."
Gojo smirked and stood at the ready. "Let's see what Uba taught you!"
Rook and Shin stood at the ready, both posed to go in for a quick strike before escaping once again. Satoru knew this pattern well, if anything, to throw him off, Shin is going to attack first. Satoru stared between the two of them, when they both vanished at the same time.
He snickered as Shin and Mochi used their mother's ability to hide curse energy, but that does explain how she was able to do so in the first place. In fact, all Toorus learned such an ability if they had curse energy. But now, he had to try and find them.
"I know you are moving fast, at the same time, Shin won't keep up with you for much longer, no curse energy right?" Gojo snickered. However, despite that observation, he still didn't see them…
WACK!
Satoru stumbled as he was struck in the back. He stumbled but turned to see Rook had carried Shin on his back! "Smart!"
Only to be blasted by a fire salamander!
Satoru was pushed back but froze at the sight of his daughter. Her technique… it's like Megumi's! "HOLD IT, TIME OUT!" he called. "No one told me about this, granted, I could see her technique has gotten a lot stronger but not to this caliber! How come I couldn't sense that?!"
Mochi bore a rather cheeky grin to it all. Rook was smiling rather wickedly… why does his smile look like Sukuna when he's about to do something evil?
Shin was snickering to it all as Satoru appeared puzzled. They couldn't have gotten this strong in a matter of months… could they?
"What is Uba teaching you?!"
"OJI!" they protested. "And he has tailored our training to what we need to improve upon." Shin explained. "I have to relearn mine all over again since he told me to merge my channels for curse energy. I had two of them, but they are clashing and work against me or if the fight intensifies. So I merged them, but now… it's trying to learn it all over again."
"Oji had me tame more shikigami. We only learned recently that it is similar to the ten shadow technique. I have about seven shikigami or so that I can call upon, I am also testing out something similar to Megumi sensei's shadow possession."
Satoru knows he's a genius at many things, but now his kids are too?
"You look surprised."
Satoru turned and saw Suguru lingering yet smiling to it all. "Did you know about this?!" he demanded.
Suguru nodded. "I've watched them train, I helped where I can and if it was needed. Your have very powerful children." He said rather proudly.
"Thanks… Still, the fact they didn't learn it from me hurts."
"At the same time dad, what COULD you have taught us?" Rook asked. "Especially me? I know I am difficult to teach since I have no curse energy, at the same time, I could go toe to toe with you if I went full force. How well I would do? That I don't know. I am just aware that I lack in various aspects of strength… I'm still training with Oji on that." he shuttered a little when he mentioned Sukuna.
"What is he training you on?"
Rook sighed. "At the moment, diet" he said reluctantly. "I've been drinking this god-awful liver juice each day, three times a day with every meal. Then I was eating liver of divine beasts that attacked the domain recently. It's a LOT of liver…"
He had no idea, Satoru turned to Suguru who nodded to the fact. "Indeed, Sukuna has been joining him in this training, to show it's not for shits and giggles on his end."
"Don't remind me about that…" Rook muttered.
Shin and Mochi snorted a laugh.
"What's so funny?"
"Uh, Satoru, just drop it." Suguru strongly suggested. But as soon as Suguru made a suggestion, Satoru but two and two together and started to snicker at his son.
"ANYWAYS!" Rook shouted. "Now the diet has changed. I still have to drink the liver juice once a day now, thank God." He said offhandedly. "But, I'm eating a lot more meat, in fact, somehow my stomach capacity grew."
Satoru knew that, ever since Yua woke and recovered. They have been having family meals. Rook eats more than the family put together! He was wondering where all that food went to. Apparently his son is growing.
"What has Sukuna suggested for you now?"
"I have to meditate and work on my technique," said Shin.
"I need to make certain I got all the shikigami that I can call upon, there are some hidden according to the tiger, but I have to show I can manage the power that comes with the flames…" said Mochi.
"Apparently, I got to eat more" stated Rook. "Come to think of it, I am getting hungry…"
Satoru nodded and called an end to the training. Granted, he hasn't even done all that much with them, at the same time… he's trying to figure out how he can help their training.
As the kids went to get some lunch, Satoru sighed aloud. "I don't even know my own kids!"
"You have two sons and one daughter…" Suguru began to explain, but more a smartass smile shortly after. "It's important for them to learn from their father, at the same time, if you don't have the means to do so. It's not wrong to entrust them with someone who does."
"It's SUKUNA!"
"WHAT!"
Satoru sighed, as Sukuna must have felt his ears burning by now. Yet, as he peered about he was rather surprised. "Where did your kids go?"
"Rook got hungry."
"Ah, that's right, we need to adjust his portions…"
"What ARE you doing with Rook?" Satoru demanded. "You are having him drink liver juice, eating liver and now, he eats more than the whole family put together!"
Sukuna paused to this. "He does?" he asked curiously. "Huh… perhaps it's time to alter the regiment then…"
"What exactly are you doing to Rook?" Suguru asked. "I know it's nothing bad, but the affects of this by merely drinking and eating liver…"
Sukuna's deranged smile spread over his lips. "That's because the livers of divine beings is over 100 times greater than that of a human's and sorcerer." he explained. "Looking back at my madness, I was given and fed a lot of liver, it's the protein as well as the nutrition within was rather… delectable" he said and licked his lips oddly. "Ahem, besides that. The livers of the divine beings have a powerful detoxifying effect. At the moment Rook is on a cleanse. It's to completely rid and clear the body of curse energy, with his appetite spiking, that means his body has nearly purged out the curse energy and is replacing it with his own natural body energy."
Suguru was rather impressed. "I see, so when the body has no curse energy, heavenly restrictions will naturally develop?"
"He already has it, this amplifies it up to a greater degree. Rook is constantly exposed to curse energy here, he's different than Maki and Toji when it comes to heavenly restrictions. Did you not notice he isn't like the other students either?"
Satoru paused to this as he turned to Suguru, who shrugged his shoulders.
"I didn't know there are different methods and version of heavenly restrictions like this for non curse energy users" he said honestly.
Sukuna sighed. "Not to mention, he is a Tooru, they always cultivated differently." He said offhandedly. "Nonetheless, that boy is growing stronger each day. He's going to need a lot more meat in his diet, as well as larger portions. Just be sure that boy doesn't go hungry" he warned.
"Something tells me a hangry Rook is like a hangry Sukuna?" Suguru asked.
"He's asking the right questions…" Sukuna said as he glared at Satoru. "Either way, keep that boy fed and full. I'll resume his training when this is over with the council." He excused himself first before heading back to his residence.
Satoru felt… odd. "Why is it that I can't teach my own children their abilities?!" he protested. "Why do they always go to HIM?"
Suguru sighed. "Do you want the friend answer, or the blunt one?" he asked.
Satoru paused. "What? Are you going to sugar coat it if it's the friend answer?"
"There isn't enough sugar in the world to sweeten the words I need to say, I am merely trying to be polite at this point."
He sighed in defeat. "Blunt"
"You run away from your children, you're never home and at the same time you really are terrified of them since you have NO idea how to really help them despite the fact that you ARE a teacher of jujutsu, you are just worried about messing up your children than those who are not your children."

"Better coming from me than Sukuna or Nanami… Nanami would gut you"
