No memory

A guest asked for a oneshot of Snow making it through the wardrobe with Emma. They find Storybrooke when Emma is a teen. They say Charming with Kathryn and Emma confronts him, revealing a few things.

After years of searching it all came down to this- heartbreak. They'd finally found Charming, and he was in the arms of another woman. By this point Snow and Emma knew people didn't have their memories, but that didn't make it any easier. Especially for Emma. She'd been brought up her whole life hearing stories of this wonderful father who'd be waiting for them both with open arms, and here he was with her.

"Hey!" Emma had yelled when she saw them together. The look on her mother's face when she saw them, it wasn't hard for Emma to work out who they were. She started to march over, Snow hot on her heels.

"Emma stop." She hissed in her daughter's ear. "You know he doesn't remember." Emma ignored her mom, she didn't care. The couple were alarmed, who was this girl, and why did she look so furious with them?

"What do you think you're doing?" Emma yelled at her father. The slightly blank, alarmed look he gave her just enraged her even more.

"Um, do I know either of you?"

"You should!" Emma yelled, tears building up behind her eyes. This wasn't how she imagined it at all. "I'm your-"

"Emma's that's enough." Snow cut in, grabbing her arm. She looked t the couple. It was so hard to put on a smile for them, but she did. "I'm so sorry about my daughter. She's just confused…"

"I'm not confused!" Emma snapped. "And I'm his daughter too!"

"Emma!" Snow yelled. She'd blown it now. The woman, who Snow recognised as Princess Abigail, looked at her Charming.

"You have a daughter?" She asked, shocked. Charming shook his head.

"No! I don't know what this girl's talking about…"

"You have a scar on your chest!" Emma shouted as her mother tried to pull her away. Charming looked at her, baffled.

"How on Earth do you know that?"

"Because you got it getting me to safety! You nearly died in my mother's arms, your wife's arms!"

"Your wife?" Kathryn shrieked. David shook his head.

"I don't know how she knows about the scar, but I've never seen this woman before!" Snow couldn't pretend that didn't sting, even though she knew it wasn't his fault.

"Is there a problem here?" Came a cool voice that made the hairs on the back of Snow's neck stand up. Regina. Snow immediately pulled Emma behind her. Regina saw the pair causing the commotion. She recognised Snow and her face broke into a cat like grin. Emma too recognised Regina. She tried to run for her, but Snow wouldn't let her go.

"You're not getting anywhere near her." Snow hissed to Emma.

"I think you're being a bit protective of your daughter, don't you? I know there's stranger danger but as the mayor of this town I hardly think I pose a threat." As Regina took a step forward, Snow took another back, forcing Emma with her.

"Stay back." Snow snarled. Regina chuckled lightly. David and Kathryn just looked confused.

"I'll handle these two. Kathryn, David, you can go home." Regina dismissed them. Not wanting to face their mayor's wrath, David and Kathryn quickly shuffled away. "Hello again, Snow White." Regina said gleefully. "And this must be Emma…"

"Don't talk to her!" Snow barked. Regina just smiled.

"You foolish woman bringing her here. I'm in charge here. I say what goes. I can destroy your happiness here. And your happiness, seeing as your husband is now with another woman, is solely your daughter…"

"Emma get back in the car." Snow said, taking Emma's hand. "We're leaving…"

"Oh I don't think so." Regina said in a sing song voice. "You can't leave dear. Nobody can. Once you enter Storybrooke there is no leaving, not for anyone. Watch your back, both of you." With that, Regina walked away. She had planning to do. Snow turned and wrapped her daughter in a ferocious hug.

"You're safe." Snow assured her. "We'll find a way to break this curse together. We'll get your dad back I promise you Em. But you have to stay with me at all times, ok? I know you don't like it, but you're not safe with Regina here. I won't give her the chance to hurt you. Now come on," Snow let Emma go briefly before wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "We can stay at Granny's tonight. We'll go apartment hunting tomorrow."
