A very awkward situation
Autumn37 asked for a oneshot of Emma and Snow being out and about when a guy starts to hit on Snow.
Guest who asked for Emma falling asleep whilst watching a movie with her parents: Check out chapter 265 "Sleep well"
Emma hadn't wanted to come to Red's "girls' night out" in the first place. Now sitting here with some random villager from the Enchanted Forest she was kicking herself for allowing her mother to guilt trip her into coming. The guy had obviously had far too much to drink and started hitting on Snow. When she clearly rejected him, he came over and sat beside Emma, who was sulking at a table. She had moved away when the guy had started to try and chat her mom up. Listening to someone flirt with your mom is a little stomach turning.
"Hey saviour!" He slurred, sitting down next to her. Emma groaned. She hated being noticed by people she didn't know at the best of times in this town. This was far from the best of times. Emma tried to ignore him, but he didn't take the hint. "Well we certainly know where you get your good looks from, don't we?" Emma groaned.
"Really? That's my mother. I am not beyond punching you just because you're drunk." Emma warned. The man laughed it off.
"Feisty, aren't you? Is your mama feisty too? I like 'em feisty." He said, with a horrid looking grin. He leaned in closer to Emma. She nearly gagged at the stench of alcohol on his breath. "I know she's married and all, but wanna know a secret? I think your mom is totally hot. And she wouldn't be so snow white when I'd finished with her." Emma shuddered at the image, suddenly feeling quite sick. She felt his hand on her leg.
"You're not married though, are you saviour? Maybe you and I could…" He didn't get to finish his sentence. Snow had come back from dancing with the girls when she caught the man out of the corner of her eye sitting with a very uncomfortable looking Emma. She yanked him up with total ease.
"I tried to be nice to you." She hissed, pushing him against a wall. "Mess with me a little if you want pal. But don't you dare lay your grubby little fingers on my daughter. I'm not interested, she's not interested. Got the picture? If I see you near her again I will give you a headache lasting far longer than any hangover. Now scram." Snow gave the man a harsh shove towards the door. He stumbled away, with neither Snow nor Emma sure exactly how much of that had sunk in. Snow looked towards her daughter, who seemed a little shocked. "You ok?" She asked. Emma nodded.
"I could have dealt with that." She told her mother. Snow smiled. She expected such a response from Emma. She slid herself into the booth beside her.
"I know you could have. But when I see someone giving you hassle I see red. You're the exact same with Henry. It's just instinct. Now come on." Snow took Emma's hand and pulled her up. "Come and have a dance." Emma grimaced but allowed her mother to lead her over to the dance floor with the rest of the group. If she was going to be here she may has well try and have fun.
