She felt a pair of large hands on her waist before she felt them throw her into the air. She felt the joyful purity of the fleeing moment, the innocent moment was gone and now her full was that of a rebellious youth.
She remembered how she laughed long ago, back when she thought that she knew everything about what could hurt her and what couldn't.
Her joy vanished and she began to fear the rapidly approaching ground, but even that moment of fear was gone, it had been nothing more than a fleeting moment.
She found herself walking within her mind, looking at the lives that she could have lived if the Eldari empire had never fallen, she ignored these visions in favor of those that were closer to her current situation.
A wave of power reminded her of her purpose.
She had returned to the Craftworld after hearing its Infinity Circuit call to her, she knew that what she felt was impossible because when a Craft World was destroyed so was its Infinity Circuit.
Yet she wasn't the only one who felt the ruins of her home calling to her.
She could still remember the day that she had been forced to escape into the Web Way when her home was attacked, and she had seen with her own eyes how the craft world broke under the enemy's attack.
She can still remember the empty hole that formed inside of her, as she watched the ruins of her home float away, as its life support system slowly died.
When a Craft World is destroyed it can't just be repaired, as everything both inside and outside of it has to be perfectly aligned so that nothing ever fails when it's needed the most.
This is the reason why her people don't just fix the craft worlds that have been destroyed or lost over the years, as doing so is not only time-consuming, but the resources needed for such an effort are extremely high.
So why was her home back in one piece?
She can still remember the strange combination of emotions that she felt when she first set foot in the craft world not being in it for so long.
The Rangers that accompanied her along with the rest of the exploration team all felt the same way that she did.
they were excited to finally be home, but confused because their home didn't and shouldn't have existed anymore.
they wondered if someone had taken the time to repair the craft world, as the inside of it was working just as it should have been, but they all soon felt horrified by what they saw next.
Their home was attached to something alien, something primitive, something Human.
the monkeys had found their home and dared to step into its ruins and even worse they had tried and failed to recreate its beauty.
They could see the monkey's ships flying between their home and their inferior creation, as they tried and failed to copy the ships that once few from one side of the craft world to the other.
They prepared to kill everyone who dared to set foot inside their home, but before they could act, she found herself looking into a time that would have been.
she ordered everyone to wait before they did anything, because if they attacked now then the monkeys would overwhelm them by numbers alone.
Her next vision showed what would happen if they waited long enough for a proper fleet to arrive, and she was forced to watch as the Humans detonated the explosives that they had filled her home with.
She watched as her home broke into dozens of pieces that could never be brought back together.
She considered attacking the Humans World Ship, but found that in every turn the Humans would overwelm her and her allies regardless of who or what was accompanying her.
So she searched for a way to weaken the monkeys before the reinforcements arrived.
She soon found the proper future and ordered the exploration team to isolate the black-haired child and mother, while the girl's father searched for her and the rangers that accompanied her.
Everything seemed to be going just as planned, but something had gone wrong, but no matter where she searched she failed to find where they had failed.
As the vision of the horrifying future appeared in front of her, she turned away in search of anything that could prevent it, but no matter how she looked she couldn't see.
"Calm yourself, relax." she hears someone say to her as her soul is wrapped by a strange black liquid, she tries to free herself from it, but she stops moving when something slithers past her.
"Calm yourself" she hears the voice say to her as the strange liquid evaporates and she is suddenly free again.
She closed her eyes and raised her mental defenses, as she tried to keep whatever had slitherd into her mind away.
She performed the cleansing ritual that she had practiced countless times, to clean herself of whatever the black liquid was and she burned away the parts of her mind and soul that seemed to be affected by it.
"That was foolish, it was the right decision, but it was still foolish." the voice says to her.
'Who are you!" she demands, but she doesn't hear anything or anyone answer her.
She opens her eyes and finds that the rangers had carried her into the crystal forest, the place where the oldest and most powerful of the Far Seers rest.
She notices that the crystalized head of ancient far seers is lying next to her, and as she looks up, she notices the body that the head belonged to is next to it.
She slowly rises back to her feet and feels the energy of the web way pushing itself into the craft world, and she sees the world around her regain its life once again.
It won't be long now.
Soon both the craft world and the web way will shatter the barrier that's keeping her people away and when it does her people will kill every monkey in the area.
She can feel the craft world calling to its sisters, soon reinforcements from the other craft worlds will arrive and the accursed future that she saw will never come to pass.
'Too late." she hears someone whisper to her, its voice is similar to that of a serpent hissing
