Hair today gone tomorrow

Alice asked for another oneshot of commenting on Snow having short hair after going back in time and seeing it long in the Enchanted Forest with Charming joining in.

Every time Snow turned around, she found Emma pretending she hadn't been staring at her mother. It was beginning to make Snow feel a bit self-conscious. Had someone stuck a kick me sign to her back or something? After Emma had been doing this for almost the whole day Snow couldn't take it anymore.

"Ok, spill." She demanded, fixing her daughter with what can only be described as "the look". Charming looked up from where he'd been doing some paperwork from home, wondering what was going on. Emma tried to give her mom an innocent, confused expression. "Don't give me that Emma, you've been staring at me all day. What's going on?" Emma sighed, she had been hoping against all odds that she hadn't been caught.

"It's just weird seeing you with short hair again." Emma said. She had only returned from the past yesterday, and now Snow understood what all the staring was about. She had forgotten how different she must have looked to Emma. "I thought it was nice long."

"Come to think of it, why haven't you grown it out since the curse broke?" Charming piped up. Snow shrugged her shoulders.

"Long hair was nice and very princess like and everything, but short hair is just so much more convenient."

"I liked it long too." Charming added. "It was relaxing to run my fingers through after we were done…"

"Daughter in the room!" Emma suddenly shouted. Charming grinned. They sometimes forgot how Emma felt about the whole public displays of affection thing.

"It wasn't going to be that but I shan't say anyway." Charming promised her. "Point is, I kinda miss it I guess. Not that you don't look as beautiful as ever, but I can't really run my fingers through your hair now." He said with a little pout. Snow rolled her eyes playfully.

"Yes, and when he's a little older Neal can't pull it either. You'll live I'm sure." She teased.

"Must have been cool having the whole princess hair thing." Emma said quietly. "I bet you could do all sorts of things with it." Snow smiled, sensing an opportunity.

"Yes, all of which I'd be more than happy to do with your hair, if you'd like? I know you'd look gorgeous in all of them." Emma smiled shyly.

"Yeah, I think I'd like that."
