Darkness
Fusion Palace asked for a oneshot of the ribbons making Elsa and Emma evil. Warning! There will be mentions of sexual, physical and emotional abuse in this chapter as well as large amounts of violence (Particularly the violence being requested) so for those reasons this chapter is rated T+
They were all in the station when it happened. Suddenly, Emma and Elsa just fell to the floor, both feeling like their heads had suddenly shattered. They had both been experiencing similar symptoms since they'd found the ribbons tied to their wrists. Dark whispers in their heads. Sudden angry urges. Flashbacks to horrible memories. But they hadn't spoken to each other about their problems. If they had, they may have had time to prevent this. But now it was too late. The Snow Queen had tricked the town. The spell of shattered sight was not coming for all but Elsa and Emma- quite the opposite. They would be the only ones affected. With the ribbons, Ingrid would be able to control them, and they would finally be sisters. But first, she needed rid of their loved ones.
Anna had rushed to Elsa's side as Charming and Snow had done with Emma when they fell to the floor in agony. All three gasped at the sight when Elsa and Emma opened their eyes. They were glowing red. All now knew something was very wrong.
"Elsa?" Anna asked tentatively. Elsa snapped her head round and practically snarled at her sister. Kristoff did not like the look on Elsa's face, he was worried for Anna's safety. He carefully took Anna's hand and pulled her back.
"Be careful." He warned her. "Your aunt has obviously done something to them." Anna just kept looking at Elsa, she had never looked at her that angrily before. Snow clutched Neal closer to her chest, worried about how Emma would react to them. Sure enough, when she saw her parents she gave them as horrible a look as Elsa had given Anna. They backed off slightly.
"You." Emma snarled.
"Emma, it's us. It's mom and dad…"
"You are no parents to me!" She yelled. "You stuck me in a wardrobe the first chance you got. You used me to break Regina's curse. Then when my job was done you replaced me the first chance you got…" Elsa scoffed behind them. Emma turned and glared at her.
"Something funny?" She snapped.
"Very. Poor little Emma, not raised by her loving parents. Poor little Emma with all the freedom she could want. Grow up and realise what you've got you spoiled little girl!"
"Elsa!" Anna called out, appalled.
"Keep out of this. You're just as bad. I was locked in a room practically my whole childhood and all you did was complain that you didn't have a playmate. You stupidly tried to marry a man you had known for hours and caused me to freeze the whole damn kingdom."
"But we fixed it- together. I can help you fix this if you just let me…"
"Stay back you naïve fool!" Elsa demanded, an icy blast shooting from her hand and missing Anna by a centimetre. Snow knew at this point Anna was going to do more harm than good. She needed someone to take Neal away so he was safe, and someone to get Regina. She may as well kill three birds with one stone. Snow moved over to where Kristoff had pulled Anna behind him.
"Are you alright?" She whispered. Anna nodded shakily. It was the first time Elsa had deliberately aimed at her. "Here," Snow said, handing Neal over to Anna. "Someone needs to keep him safe. Your sister is gunning for you just now, it's best you get out of here. Go, find Regina and tell her to come over here right now. Please, keep him safe."
"I can't leave her…"
"Yes, you can. Please Anna, go." Snow begged. Anna knew Snow was right. She nodded, taking one last look at Elsa before fleeing with the baby. Snow watched him go and it nearly broke her heart- but he wasn't safe with Elsa and Emma right now. And Snow and Charming had to help Emma just now. Snow returned to Charming's side. He squeezed her hand, showing her that he agreed and felt he'd done the right thing.
"Poor little Emma? Was I poor little Emma when a creepy old man came up to my room in the middle of the night? Was I poor little Emma when one of my foster parents whipped me with a belt for crying? Was I poor little Emma when they starved me for days and said it was all my fault? You never went a day without food, nobody ever laid a finger on you. You always knew you had powers and could use them to defend yourself. What was I left with? Nothing. You've got a real cheek calling me a spoiled little girl!" Slowly, Charming stepped forward.
"Emma, this isn't you." He said gently. "We just need to get that ribbon off, it's clouding your brain, making you angry…"
"NO!" Emma screamed, a strong blast of magic coming from her. It lifted Charming off the ground and he slammed into the wall. Snow rushed over to him, helping him up. His whole body now ached. What had just happened? "No, this ribbon isn't clouding anything. It's making me see clearly. I see now that Ingrid was right. That you two just fear me. I'll be better off without you." Again, Elsa scoffed.
"Ingrid isn't even your real family- she's mine. We understand each other, what do you know? You've never had a whole kingdom of people terrified you were going to freeze their homes again. Terrified someone's going to lock you in one room for years again. You need a reality check."
"Maybe it's better you're locked in a room you crazy ice freak!" Elsa moved forward to hurt Emma, but Kristoff held her back. Elsa quickly grabbed hold of his wrist and pulled it sharply behind his back. Snow and Charming cringed as they heard a loud pop- his shoulder popping out of the joint. Kristoff screamed out in agony as Elsa shoved him back.
"Keep your disgusting hands off me." She snarled. Just then, Regina entered the station. Anna had found her and explained the situation. She was their only hope. It would take some dark magic to rid Elsa and Emma of the ribbons- and Regina could still control dark magic. As soon as Emma saw her, the rage inside her intensified. She practically flew over and grabbed Regina by the throat, slamming her against the wall.
"You!" She yelled. "What do you think you're doing? You've ruined everything! You caused the curse that robbed me off my childhood. Then you couldn't even properly look after your own son. So he came to me and dragged me into this Hell hole. This is all your fault!"
"Emma. Stop." Regina gasped, struggling for breath. "I'm here to help."
"How can you help me? All you've ever done is ruin everything! You deserve to pay." Regina howled in pain as a deep gash appeared in her cheek.
"Emma stop!" Snow pleaded. "This isn't you!" Emma used her free hand to force Snow back into one of the cells. She too hit her head off the wall. Charming came to her and as soon as he did, Emma forced the door shut. "Stay out of this you pair of idiots." Emma slowly widened the cut, delighting in the way it made Regina scream. Suddenly, Emma found herself unable to move her hand. She assumed it was Elsa meddling.
"Let me go you icy freak!" Emma demanded.
"Now Emma, is that anyway to talk to either of your sisters?" Everyone in the room looked round to see Ingrid standing at the entrance to the station. Emma instantly dropped Regina. She fell to the floor with a groan, blood dripping from her face. "That's better. You are sisters. You shouldn't be turning on each other."
"Sorry Ingrid." Both Emma and Elsa said in synchronisation. Their voices didn't sound quite right- it was like they were in a trance.
"That's quite alright girls. We all make mistakes. But it is important to remember that we are family and we forgive each other."
"She is not your family!" Charming bellowed. "Emma is our daughter- Neal's sister- not yours! Take that damn ribbon off of them both and let them think for themselves you crazy witch!" Emma snarled and moved to silence the idiot.
"No Emma, there is no need to stoop to his level." Ingrid said calmly. She held out both her hands. Elsa and Emma obediently came to her and each took a hand. Ingrid smiled triumphantly. She had won. Charming and Snow were crying in the cell. They were trapped, unable to come to Emma's aid.
"Please don't do this." Snow pleaded. "She's our daughter, our little girl. Please, don't take her from us." Ingrid looked at them with no remorse.
"It's funny. Only one of us ever saw her as a little girl- me. We all know I'm her true family. Accept it, move on. Come on girls." Ingrid moved out of the station with Elsa and Emma still holding her hands. Leaving behind Kristoff, Regina, Snow and Charming crumpled in the station without hope.
