Deeply Satisfied

Yet again, I am here posting a new chapter, this one is about how (in my opinion) Harry should have reacted to Ron's insulting comments towards Hermione in their first year.I would really appreciate if someone commented with positive/negative feedback or any improvements or ideas for future scenes. :0

Ron and Harry were strolling up the corridor to charms, and Ron was going on and on about Hermione,

"-and she is so, so, so nerdy, no wonder she doesn't have any friends" finished Ron

A bushy haired girl pushed passed them, sobbing loudly. It was clearly Hermione, and she had clearly heard Ron's less than friendly comments.

"Ha, she got what she deserved by hearing that, didn't she Harry" cried Ron triumphantly.

"You know what, that was rude! She didn't do us any harm, and you made extraordinarily mean comments in a crowded corridor where anyone could here you." replied Harry.

Hermione had disappeared in the direction of the girls bathrooms, but Harry could still hear distant crying. He imagined her, crouching in a dark cubicle, sobbing and making her eyes go sore, red and puffy. Maybe wondering what she had ever done to deserve what Ron had said. That made Harry angry, angrier and even angrier.

"So that's it, you are going to side with her?" asked Ron

"Yes, what has she ever done to harm or offend you?"

"It's more of the fact that she exists, if you know what I mean"

"Well you know what I think? I THINK YOU'RE AN EVIL PERSON WHO DOESN'T DESERVE DECENT, LOYAL FRIENDS LIKE ME AND HERMIONE!" exploded Harry.

Ron drew out his wands, and so did Harry.

A crowd was gathering around them, exciting chatter and gossip buzzed the corridors; and things like 'Potter and Weasley are fighting', 'The duo have fallen out', 'Bet you ten galleons Potter wins', 'Potter has a soft spot for Granger' were being whispered as Ron and Harry circled each other. They cried out their spells at the same time.

"Locomotor Mortis" yelled Harry

"Expelliarmus" yelled Ron.

Harry's wand started to slip out of his hand, while Ron's legs locked together tightly; Harry gave one more attempt at strength and succeeded in not letting go of his wand. He stood and watched as Ron tripped to the floor, swearing loudly. Claps from the crowd erupted into the corridor.

"I could curse you, but your not even worth cursing, I'm going to go find Hermione" declared Harry.

And with that, he strode through the audience, leaving Ron struggling on the ground,

"Your not even going to take the curse off me?!" shouted Ron to his back.

"No chance" said Harry, turning back to see the pure hatrid in Ron's eyes.

As he walked away, Harry didn't feel any regret at all, Ron had badly insulted someone so innocent, and he could not tolerate that sort of pathetic, evil behaviour. He supposed, he could have just gone to a teacher, but besides, that wouldn't have been nearly so much fun.

He realised something. He was deeply satisfied.

Deeply satisfied.
