A magical mess
A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma and Neal being in trouble with their parents for making a mess of the house with magic.
"But it was a-"
"Not interested."
"I was trying to-"
"What did your mother just say?" Snow and Charming stood, arms crossed against their chests staring down their children. You would be forgiven for thinking that Emma was five like her brother, rather than her actual age of thirty five given the state of the house surrounding them and the shifty, guilty look on both their faces.
"We know you were trying to teach Neal a summoning spell. He's been going on about learning it since we told him you were babysitting last week. But don't lie- it's led to a whole house food fight hasn't it?" Snow said sternly. Both Emma and Neal stayed silent, looking at their feet. "Hasn't it?" Snow repeated in a dangerous tone.
"Yes." Both mumbled. Emma was mortified. She was actually getting into trouble for having a food fight.
"Well then, I suggest you both go and summon yourselves some cleaning gear and get scrubbing. You will both be cleaning this house until it is spotless. And there is to be no magic used, clear?" Charming disciplined them. Emma and Neal nodded, shuffling off to get started. It was going to take hours- they may have got a bit carried away. When they were gone, Charming and Snow shared a grin.
"Do you think this is what it would have been like all the time if they were both around the same age?" Snow asked Charming. He grimaced.
"I'm not sure I'd like to think about coming home to this every day." He pointed out. Snow grimaced herself in return.
"Good point."
