Say cheese
Crosseyed-Cupcake asked for a oneshot of Emma having to wear her actual sheriff's uniform and Snowing finding it cute and wanting photos. Emma gets embarrassed.
Snow and Charming waited in excitement for Emma to come down the stairs. There was a big town meeting, and Regina had demanded that for once- in her own words- "Emma act like a proper sheriff and wear her uniform than her usual reject lumberjack clothing". Deciding it was best not to annoy her, Emma had begrudging agreed. Snow and Charming were looking forward to seeing her in it. They'd never got to send her off to schools or Guides in this world- or even send her to a Ball in Kingdom attire in their own. So this would have to do. Emma could feel their eyes drilling a whole through her as she trudged down the stairs….and hear Henry's loud laughter. She sighed, she'd gotten up extra early in the hope of avoiding them. She should have known they'd figure she'd do that. She then spied the Polaroid in her mom's hand.
"Not that again!" She whinged. Henry's laughter only got worse.
"Oh come on Em! We never got to see you in uniforms growing up. This is one of the few chances we'll get." Snow pleaded. Emma rolled her eyes.
"Fine. One picture each." She said. Snow squealed in delight.
"Ok, Charming, you first!" Charming happily got up and stood beside his daughter, wrapping an arm around her.
"It's your fault I'm going to this in the first place." She grumbled as her mom handed Neal to Henry.
"Not my fault you drew the short straw." He chuckled. They had agreed one sheriff should be in the station in case needed.
"Ok, smile!" Snow said enthusiastically. Emma did her best to put on a good smile whilst Charming stood grinning both triumphantly and proudly beside her. "Come on Emma, like you mean it." Snow may be hiding from Emma that these pictures would be getting framed so she wanted them to be perfect. "Just picture Regina coming in with sauce all down her front and trying to boss you all about." Emma couldn't help but laugh at the image. Snow quickly took her moment and got the picture. "Excellent!" She retrieved Neal from Henry and handed him to Emma. "There, brother and sister on sissy's big day." Snow said proudly.
"It's hardly a big day, just a boring meeting." Emma mumbled. Snow pretended she hadn't heard her as she lined the camera up again. Sensing it would go quicker if she fully cooperated, Emma gave a more convincing smile.
"There, that's better!" Snow said, snapping away with the camera. When she was happy she'd gotten a perfect one, she put the camera down, took Neal, and placed him in his Moses basket. "Ok Henry, your turn!" Trying to stifle his laughter, he came up and stood beside his mom.
"Looking smart mom." He teased. Emma made sure she got a gentle kick to the back of his leg without either of her parents noticing. Snow again got a few pictures in before giving the camera to Charming. Grinning like mad, she swapped places with Henry. She wrapped an arm around Emma's waist and smiled like she had been given a Botox injection. Emma rolled her eyes playfully before smiling at the camera…again…as her dad pointed at them. Yeah it was a little embarrassing, but at least they were proud of her. At least they cared enough to embarrass her.
