Little parents
Noel asked for a oneshot of Snow and Charming turning into little kids and Emma having to care for them.
"Are you being serious?!" Emma said down the phone in such a high pitched tone only dogs must have heard her.
"Well Miss Swan, that's what happens when little boys with magic get angry at their parents." Emma shot her little brother an unamused glare which he cowered away from. "They'll be back to normal in a couple of days. Contact me if they haven't changed back." Rumple then hung up on Emma. Neal had been getting into trouble with his mom and dad. He shouted back that they couldn't remember what it was like to be five and bang. They were five. Fortunately Emma was in the house and had taken charge. Both Snow and Charming were now changed into some clothes of Neal's and napping. They had no memory of anything so Emma had convinced them they were Mary Margaret and David, friends of Neal's, here for a sleepover. She didn't want to call them by their real names in case she frightened them. The pair came down the stairs sleepily holding hands. Emma couldn't help but smile. Even as children they were soulmates.
"Hey guys." She said in a gentle voice. "You ok?" They both nodded, still feeling quite confused.
"Um, Emma? I'm hungry." Her dad said nervously. Little Snow nodded beside him.
"Me too. And why am I in boy's clothes again?"
"Because yours got dirty and you borrowed some of Neal's" Emma made up quickly. Neal sat silently. He felt horrible about what he had done. He was still worried they'd be like this forever. Little Snow accepted the lie as Emma led them into the kitchen with Neal following behind. She helped them sit up at the table, trying to hide how weird it was for her. She fixed them up some mac and cheese, knowing they all liked it.
"This is good Emma!" Snow said, sounding astounded. Emma bit her lip to stop herself from laughing at the way both her parents had mac and cheese all over their faces.
"Here." She said, quickly wiping both theirs and Neal's faces before helping them down and allowing them to go and watch cartoons.
A couple of days later, Snow and Charming emerged from their bedroom looking really befuddled.
"What day is it?" Charming asked.
"Thursday." Emma responded.
"Wait, Thursday? Last I remember was Tuesday afternoon! We were telling Neal off for drawing on the wall when…" Both Snow and Charming's eyes widened in realisation.
"Yup. I can see you've got it." Emma said, taking another sip of her coffee. Snow and Charming about turned and headed back to bed. They suddenly needed a lie down.
