My child my way
Sofi asked for a sequel oneshot to "Surprise! I'm a mom" where Emma gets mad at Snow for trying to raise Henry.
"Mom, I've got this." Emma said through gritted teeth as her mom hovered over her while she changed Henry's diaper.
"Sorry, sorry." Snow sighed, moving away but Emma could still see her watching.
"I've managed for the first seven months you being here doesn't suddenly make me incapable as a parent." Emma snapped. Emma was fast beginning to regret her decision to move home last month. Her mom was trying to take over (consciously or not) more and more.
"Emma I know you're a good mom. I just want to help. I missed out on helping you when you might have needed it, that's all." Snow defended herself. Emma closed her eyes and counted to ten, calming herself down.
"I appreciate you trying to help mom, but you're going too far. Henry is my son, I will look after him. If I need your help I will ask for it. You've done the whole parenting thing with me already, you've done your time. This is my turn. He's my responsibility."
"Emma, it's alright to get help, especially from your parents. That's what we're here for. We know you're doing a fantastic job as his mother but we just want you to know it's ok to have a break once in a while."
"I know, and again, I appreciate your support. But you have to let me do this my way, ok?" Snow nodded.
"I know." She sighed. It was so clear Emma was her daughter. She was so darn stubborn!
