On your face or in your case
A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma losing her glasses.
"I told you that you should have gotten a spare pair from the opticians ages ago." Charming said ever so slightly smugly as he caught Emma squinting at her computer screen. "Or better yet, not lose your glasses."
"I'll be fine. I've been told they'll be ready to pick up tomorrow." Emma grumbled. She had left her glasses somewhere at the cinema whilst taking Henry out for a treat but somewhere between there and home they'd gotten lost.
"Well until then why not try and avoid looking at your screen? You're going to give yourself a headache." He said, concerned.
"I've gone without him for longer periods than two days. It took them three years to work out I needed them." Emma told her dad.
"Three years?" Charming asked, astonished. "Why did it take so long?" Emma shrugged, now wishing she hadn't said anything.
"I didn't stay in any home for very long, people didn't get much of a chance to work out I wasn't seeing well. The teachers just assumed that I was struggling because it was a new school. Eventually one worked out it was because I couldn't see. I lost them a couple of times throughout my childhood and, again, because of moving about it took a while to get them back. I got used to the migraines, so I'll cope...who are you calling?" Emma asked, noticing her father picking up the office phone and dialing a number.
"The opticians." He explained. "I'm going to ask if it's possible in any way to get an advance on your glasses. If not tell them to call the second they're in the store. I don't want you having to deal with any migraines." Emma smiled, touched at her dad's actions. She had already tried speeding them along so knew those glasses wouldn't be there till tomorrow. But the fact he was trying touched her deeply.
