Beautiful voice

Beyondthebeautyy asked for a oneshot of Snow hearing Emma sing a Taylor Swift song and being surprised by hard good she is.

Neal had been in a terrible mood for the last week. The poor little soul was teething, and as such his parents weren't sleeping. One night he had finally settled long enough to allow Snow and Charming some sleep. Emma was up anyway- just unable to sleep. She heard her brother begin to whimper. Wanting her parents to have a decent sleep- Emma quickly made her way into his room.

"Hey there little man." She cooed. "Sore mouth huh? Well that's not so good. But you know, you still need to sleep. Otherwise you won't grow up to be big and strong. Come on, you and me will have a little cuddle until you settle." Emma picked him out of the cot and carried him to the couch where she held him in her arms. He squirmed, still too uncomfortable. "How about a little song?" Emma whispered. She wracked her brain thinking of a good song. She didn't really know any nursery rhymes. With her fake memories with Henry she just sang pop songs that happened to be quite soft. She guessed that would work here too. "Your little hand's wrapped around my finger

And it's so quiet in the world tonight

Your little eyelids flutter cause you're dreaming
So I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you everything's funny, you got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have, honey
If you could stay like that

Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I won't let nobody hurt you, won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up, never grow up..."

Emma looked down and saw that Neal was now sound asleep. She sighed, pretty proud of herself. She hadn't put a baby to sleep in years."

"Emma." Someone whispered behind her making Emma jump. She looked down and was grateful Neal hadn't woken. "Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you." Snow whispered, coming and sitting beside Emma, gently brushing her fingertip against Neal's cheek. "I just heart you singing."

"Oh sorry." Emma said sheepishly. "I was trying to allow you and dad to sleep."

"Oh don't be sorry." Snow said. "I'm glad I woke up. I didn't know you could sing so beautifully." Emma didn't respond, simply blushed. She shrugged, not knowing what to say. "You should sing more. Neal certainly seemed to like it. And given his current mood that's really saying something. But speaking of His Royal Highness," Snow carefully took her son from Emma. "I've got him. You go on back to bed."

"But mom you and dad..."

"Are the parents." Snow interrupted gently. "It's our job to have the sleepless nights. It'll be your job to annoy him as he gets older." Emma couldn't help but smile at the joke. "And sing more to please your mom." Emma rolled her eyes.

"Alright, night mom."

"Night Em." Snow said back, already thinking the next girl's night would be karaoke.
