Scream
A guest asked for a oneshot of Emma crying uncontrollably for some reason and her parents having to calm her down, worried she'll choke herself.
"Oh please baby!" Snow begged, bouncing the screaming infant up and down on her hip. She's been crying for hours. Nothing she or Charming did was working. She'd been changed, fed and she was warm enough. Both of them were there so she wasn't crying for one of them, her teddy Mr Sandy was there too, and Emma had rejected him. Emma was screaming so much her skin was turning faintly blue. Charming plucked the baby from his wife's arms trying once more to soothe her. Both were worried she was going to end up passing out.
"Come on baby girl, what's the matter huh?" Charming cooed loudly over her screams. "Please stop crying for daddy. I don't like hearing my little princess so upset. Come on angel, you settle down now." Emma didn't stop screaming. Snow and Charming shared a worried look. Charming moved over and sat on the rocking chair with his daughter in his lap. He started to gently rock back and forth with her. It took over ten minutes, but eventually (either through the rocking motion or just from crying herself to exhaustion) Emma's cries began to fade. Her skin turned back to its normal pink colour making both parents immensely relieved. She whimpered occasionally as Charming gently rubbed her back.
"There there baby. Did you just need a good cry, huh? Well it's alright, no more tears now. I think you've earned yourself a nap. That's it, you go to sleep now." He whispered gently, keeping up the rocking movement. It took another twenty minutes but eventually Emma was asleep. As carefully as humanly possible, Charming got up and placed Emma in her cot for her nap. Snow came over and kissed his cheek.
"My hero." She whispered. Charming smiled, snaking his arms around his wife's waist.
"Is that so?" He said, raising a cheeky eyebrow. Snow laughed and placed her hands on his chest.
"You keep her occupied all day without any more screaming like that and then yes. Definitely my hero." Charming grinned. Challenge accepted. He thought to himself.
