Emma Gold
New guest: I'm glad you're enjoying the oneshots! Unfortunately due to a long list and little time to write I only take one request at a time and also ask that people leave a gap between requests so it doesn't get too big :). I picked your request of Emma being raised by Rumplestiltskin. Hope you like it!
Interesting News! Just for fun, I've decided to create a Twitter account purely for my FanFictions. It will give me a chance to give you guys another way to suggest oneshots :) For various reasons it's important I keep my personal life separate from FanFiction, thus the separate account. Anyway, you can find me under the username JMAMK_FanFics so if you want to give me a follow and of course I'll follow you back! :)
"Emma, be careful sweetheart. You'll get your dress muddy." Rumplestiltskin told his adopted daughter.
"Sorry papa, but I just love puddles!" The little girl giggled back at him. He smiled, taking her hand.
"Yes, I know you do sweetheart, but not on the way to the school bus. If the puddles are still here at the weekend...and I'm fairly sure with our weather they will be...I'll take you to the park with your wellies on and you can splash about all you like. How does that sound?" Emma nodded enthusiastically, now calming skipping alongside him, hand in hand. Admittedly, adopting Emma was originally just a convenience for him. It would be a lot easier to make sure she broke the curse so he could find Bae if he had her right where he wanted her, but he'd grown attached to the little girl. She was a little live wire. She woke up on full charge and was like that the rest of the day, she just never stopped. She was smart too, only in first grade and reading at a third grade level her teacher had told him. He had no doubt her magic would start to show itself soon. Rumple wasn't sure if he was looking forward to that or not. Sure, it meant she could break Regina's curse and he could finally start searching for his son. But it also meant Snow and Charming would realise who they were and probably who little Emma Gold really way and he would lose her. Rumple knew there would be no stopping them regardless of him being her legal guardian. He sighed as they reached the bus stop. It was just going to be one of the casualties of this curse. All magic comes with a price, he knew that more than most.
"Have a good day sweetheart." He said before kissing her on the forehead and waving her onto the bus. How many more of these days did he have left? There was no way of telling. He just had to suck it up and accept it. Emma wasn't his child, and she never would be.
Except...she was.
