Henry's parents

FictionLover12 asked for a oneshot of Henry getting sucked through a time portal and seeing his parents when they were younger. This is the last time portal story I'll do. It's been done to death now I think.I know there are a few time portal requests still to be written that were requested before I posted this chapter and I shall write them but then I think that's it for time portals haha.

Thank you for the follows on my new FanFiction Twitter account (JMAMK_FanFics). Glad to know people seem to like the idea!

ammcg your request has already been covered in this story :)

He just under the bush and watched them. Yes, he should probably working out a way home…but he didn't really want to. He never got to spend enough time with his dad before he died. He could watch them here, just for a little while. Besides, he'd never really seen his parents looking happy together. Here he could see it. They really had loved each other before he was born. It was just little things. The way they looked at each other when they thought the other wasn't looking. How his dad picked the lint off his mom's jumper. How his mom wiped the little smudge of cream off his dad's cheek after they'd stopped off at the bakery. They were kind of cute together. He was sure had he grown up with them together like this he would have been completely embarrassed by them eventually, but he would never know that for sure. In a way they were like his gran and grandpa. But now they were turning a corner, and Henry was worried if he followed them anymore they'd spot him and he have some really awkward explaining to do. He already felt like they suspected something. Every so often they were giving little glances over their shoulder. They'd both grown up having to be suspicious during their childhood, it made them tricky to trail. No, Henry would let them go now. He'd see his mom again soon.

"Bye dad." He whispered under his breath. "I love you." Henry then turned around, still crouched under the bush, and sneaked off to find a way home.

Henry did eventually find a way home. He gave as vague a description to his mom as possible. He knew the pain of his dad's death was still fresh and he didn't want to upset her. But he would always know what he saw. His parents in love, and nobody could take that image from him.
