Ponytail
addicted2broadway89 asked for a oneshot of Emma reading about Hook's adventures in Neverland with Liam in the storybook and sees that he has a ponytail. She asks him to grow it out so she can see it with her own eyes.
Fangirl99: This is a very rare occasion where I'm going to say no I'm afraid. I don't think that's aoneshotI could convincingly write and I wouldn't want to give you sloppy work.
"Blasted pirate!" Killian roared, again aiming his cannon once again at the pirate's ship. He just let out a great laugh, feeling perfectly safe.
"You and your pesky so-called army will never catch me boy! Haven't you heard of me? I'm Blackbeard! The fiercest pirate in any realm!"
"Not for long!" Killian yelled, keeping up the attack despite them losing badly.
"Don't you worry. You'll be joining my trade soon enough. Most of my crew are ex servicemen. Trust me, it'll happen…"
"Don't you dare!" Killian growled, highly offended. He fought for King and country and nothing else!
"Captain, he's getting away!" Smee called out. Blackbeard's ship had covered itself in some sort of shield and it was speeding off faster than any ship Killian had ever seen. His brother knew he was about to give the command to give chase, but knew it would have been hopeless. He placed his hand on his brother's shoulder.
"Don't- he wins that way, he's trying to draw us off course." Liam said gently. "We need to make it to the island and find that cure. Don't let him rattle you; you won't ever end up as a dastardly pirate, Killian." He assured him. Killian nodded, but kept his eyes firmly on the fast retreating ship. He hoped his brother was right. Killian would rather die that turn into one of those pigs…
Emma shut the book when she heard the creak of the floorboard signalling that someone came into the room. Killian smiled at her before noting her strange expression.
"Are you alright love?" He asked her. Emma nodded, but kept staring at him oddly.
"Yeah, I was just flicking through Henry's book. I came across some of your story in Neverland. Back before you were a pirate." Emma explained.
"Ah." Killian said, coming and sitting beside her on a couch. "Strange seeing me with two hands in the pictures?" He guessed. Emma shook her head.
"No, I've seen that before on our first date. What I haven't ever seen is you with a ponytail." Emma explained. "I liked it, but I just can't see it on the real you."
"It got chopped off during a swordfight. I'm just glad it was my hair and not my skin." He told her. Emma reached up and ran her fingers through his hair.
"I think I'd quite like to see it…would you grow it out again- for me?" She asked. Killian shrugged, not seeing the big fuss. Emma smiled, reaching over and kissing his cheek.
It only took a couple of weeks for Killian to be able to grow out his hair long enough to stick one of Emma's bobbles in it. He found the excitement it caused Emma alarming. But he put up with it, along with the excitement came the gratitude.
