Parents are for embarrassing

A guest asked for a oneshot of Snowing telling Anna how Emma is their daughter and Emma getting embarrassed.

"So you never explained how Emma's your daughter." Anna said, once they had all reunited after the curse of shattered sight had been broken. Snow and Charming smiled. Just where did they begin?

"Well of course the obvious part of how she's our daughter…"

"Dad!" Emma squeaked, her face going beetroot red. He chuckled.

"Sorry, sorry. We found out the curse was coming just as Snow went into labour with Emma. We knew Regina was planning one, and we were told the only option to keep our child safe was to use a magical wardrobe to take her to the land without magic before the curse hit. That she would find us again on her twenty eighth birthday. We were told the wardrobe could only take one person- and it was meant to be Snow while Emma was still inside of her… but it didn't work out like that. Emma was born and I had to carry her there myself. It was one of the most terrifying things I've ever had to do. Regina's guards came after me and I could only fight with one arm as Emma was in the other one. And she peed all over it too." Emma groaned in mortification. There were some things she really didn't need to know about that day. "But I got her into the wardrobe, and then I don't really know much after that. I was in a coma until a little while after Emma arrived in town."

"Which is where I can take over." Snow said, stepping in. "Every day was the same for twenty eight years- not that any of us knew it at the time. Then when Henry brought Emma back things started moving again. Emma moved in with me. From the second I saw her I knew there was a connection there. I just wanted to look after her. I wanted to make sure she was eating right. She looked too skinny when she moved in." Emma rolled her eyes. "And she couldn't keep the room the size of a matchbox tidy so I would sneak in while she was out and tidy it for her. Make sure her clothes were ironed." Emma was flabbergasted. She couldn't believe Mary Margaret- as she had been at the time- had done that! And she couldn't believe her mom was telling Anna now! Anna could see Emma was beyond embarrassed. She felt bad for the poor girl, especially since she'd asked for the story in the first place.

"Don't worry Emma. All parents can be embarrassing. Believe me, I have a story too..."

"How many times! It is pronounced Wezzle-ton!" The Duke of Weselton shouted in outrage.

"Sorry, sorry, I just keep forgetting!" Queen Gerda said, although she was trying very hard not to laugh.

"Can't really blame you..." Her husband muttered under his breath. The Duke's moustache was twitching in annoyance. Anna could only just see all this from the little keyhole she was peeping through.

"I will not take this disrespect! I can easily cut off all trade with Arendelle!"

"Ok, ok. We'll be good I promise. We need that special sunflower of yours. The cream it makes works wonders for the rash on our Anna's touchy..."

Emma was now almost on the floor in a fit of laughter. Maybe her parents' weren't all that embarrassing after all.
