Cupid's Ball disaster

Fangirl99 since I've had to say no to your last couple of requests and since tomorrow is Valentine's day I shall bump your request up :). I'm going to muddle about with canon for this one and have both Emma and Killian be teenagers in the Enchanted Forest just so people are aware!

Guest who asked for a oneshot of Emma afraid of parents leaving due to nightmare: Check out chapter 345 :).

Emma had literally turned her back for one minute to get them both some of the signature pink Cupid's Ball punch, but when she turned back she saw her boyfriend with another girl. He was smiling at her in a way he only ever smiled at Emma. Emma's fists clenched tightly around the two goblets as she saw them talking. Saw the way she ran her hand up and down his arm. She was just about to go over and make sure this girl knew Killian was spoken for when she had the nerve to reach up and kiss him. A strangled cry left Emma's mouth. The two goblets crashed to the floor. The music was loud enough and the room crowded enough that the majority of the people didn't notice anything at all. But Emma's aunt Red had been standing close by the punch bowl and saw it happening. Red was the only one to see Emma run from the room.

"Emma, are you alright?" Red asked when she caught up with her goddaughter. Emma didn't answer her- she couldn't. She could barely stay standing, her legs felt like jelly. Red could see Emma was swaying slightly so quickly took hold of her shoulders and escorted her from the Ballroom and up to her bedroom. Only when she was safely out of the view of all the guests did Emma break down crying on her bed, crying into her aunt Red's shoulder. "Hey, hey, what's going on pup?" Red asked.

"Killian." Emma said between sobs. "I saw- saw another g-girl k-k-kiss him!"

"What?!" Red exclaimed completely outraged. Emma nodded.

"Oh honey." Red said sympathetically, wrapping her niece in a secure hug. "We're going to sort this all out. Don't you worry."

"Why would he do that to me?" Emma asked, still crying into Red's dress. "I thought he loved me." Red kissed the top of Emma's head.

"I know this hurts a lot right now, but honey, remember that there's always two sides to every story. She kissed him, not the other way around. I'm not saying what happened was right, believe me. Did you stay long enough to see what happened next?" Emma shook her head. Red could hear Emma's breathing begin to get deeper. With her wolf's hearing she could also hear her heartbeat slowing slightly. The poor girl had nearly cried herself to sleep. Red gently lay Emma back against her pillow. "Rest." She whispered. Emma was still sniffling slightly. Her chest feeling like shattered glass. But she was just so drained. All she could do was close her eyes and drift off. When Red was sure she was asleep, she walked out and found the nearest guard and told them to find Emma's parents and tell them to come up to Emma's room. They arrived just a few minutes later.

"Red, what's going on?" Snow asked. They saw Emma sleeping on the bed.

"Why is she asleep? Why are her eyes all red?" Charming asked. Red explained the whole situation to them. Snow's heart broke for her little girl. Charming was seeing red. He knew that sailor's son was never good enough for his daughter. He should have trusted his instincts. Snow saw at the edge of Emma's bed and moved a loose strand of hair from her face.

"Oh sweetheart." She murmured quietly. "Our poor baby girl." Just then, Snow, Charming and Red could hear some commotion coming from the hallway.

"Let me in there, I'm her boyfriend!"

"That would be even more reason not to let you in kid…"

"I'm not going to do anything! I just want to check she's ok!" Charming's hands curled into tight fists as he stormed out into the corridor followed by the two women.

"You!" He snarled grabbing Killian by the scruff of the neck. "You think it's ok to play with my little girl's feelings like that? Do you punk?"

"No sir I swear! It's not what Emma thinks!" Killian said, panicking.

"You have five seconds, start talking!"

"That girl, she's my ex. I didn't know she was going to be here! I didn't want to create a scene so I was pleasant to her and next thing I know she's pounced on me! I pushed her off and saw Emma running out of the room. I just want to explain to her!-"

"I heard." Emma said quietly from her doorway. Everyone turned and looked at her. "Dad, let him go please." Charming dropped his grip on Killian and allowed him to run over to Emma. He cupped her face in his hands.

"Emma, I would never do that to you I swear I…I love you Em." Emma's breath was taken from her for the second time that evening. They'd not said they loved each other yet.

"I…I love you too." She responded. Killian leaned down and crashed his lips against hers. Red and Snow were standing doey-eyed. Charming still wasn't happy. He coughed loudly, signalling for the teens to break up.

"Killian, I'm sorry for…well, you know…but even still, rules are rules. You know you're not meant to be in this corridor." He said sternly. Emma rolled her eyes. Trust her dad to ruin the moment! Killian smiled politely before giving a small bow.

"Of course, sorry sir I'll return downstairs immediately. Will you be coming back down?" He asked Emma hopefully. She nodded.

"Yeah, just as soon as I sort my makeup." Killian kissed her cheek.

"If you insist. I think you look beautiful just the way you are." He loved that shy little grin. Just as he went to leave, Snow caught his arm.

"The girl, what's her name?" She asked.

"Princess Amber of Enchancia. Why?" He asked, baffled. Snow's eyes narrowed dangerously.

"Because that little bitch is mine to deal with." She snarled before storming off ahead of Killian. The boy gulped, suddenly feeling just a little sorry for his ex!
