Guitar skills

helpwolvesandsmile asked for a oneshot of a Emma being surprisingly good at electric guitar.

"Oh awesome! Mom can I have this one, please?" Henry begged with his puppy dog pout. His fourteenth birthday was coming up and he'd asked Emma to buy him an electric guitar. Emma frowned as she took the instrument from Henry and examined it.

"I don't know kid."

"Oh please mom? I checked the price tag; it's not that expensive, honest." He told her. Emma turned it over in her hands.

"It's not the price I'm concerned about just now. This guitar has a high action. You're just learning to play, you're going to want a low action fret board just now kid." Henry gave her a puzzled look. Emma shrugged.

"I played when I was a teen. My high school offered free instruments as long as you were committed." Emma explained. Henry couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"You played in band? Mom, an acoustic guitar isn't as cool as an electric guitar. Sorry to burst your bubble." He teased. Emma gently poked his shoulder.

"Don't diss the band kids. It isn't as geeky as the stereotypes would have you think, and I'll have you know it was electric guitar I played." Emma flipped the guitar Henry had given her so she was holding it properly. The feel and the chords just came naturally back to her. She played her old favourite- "Livin On A Prayer". Henry's jaw fell open as he heard his mom play. How did he not know she could do that?!
