Puppy
Bluerose921 asked for a oneshot of Snow and Charming getting Emma a puppy.
Emma was practically bouncing up and down as her parents came back into the room with the little animal in her daddy's arms.
"Emma, want to meet your puppy?" The little girl nodded eagerly, running over to meet them. Snow held her hand up, signalling Emma to halt and listen.
"First thing's first, do you remember what mommy and daddy said? This dog is your responsibility, Emma. Yes we'll help with things you're too little to do but on the whole looking after him is up to you- agreed?" Emma nodded eagerly. Snow and Charming smiled. "Next thing, remember he's just a baby. You need to be very careful and gentle with him, alright?"
"Yes mama." Emma whispered as though even speaking at too high a volume would hurt her puppy and she never wanted to do that.
"Well alright then. Have a seat on the floor." Charming instructed her. Emma did as she was told quickly. When she did Charming placed the little bundle in Emma's lap. Emma giggled merrily as the puppy leaped up, placing it's tiny paws on Emma's shoulders and licking her face. She eventually loved back and the puppy rolled over on her lap and Emma rubbed his belly.
"You got a name for this little guy?" Charming asked his daughter. Emma nodded thoughtfully.
"His name is Rollo." She announced. "Because he rolled over on me." Snow and Charming smiled at the adorableness. Emma stood up and moved towards the door of the large courtyard. "Come on Rollo, let's play!" The puppy happily bounded over to the little girl and followed her out of the door. Snow and Charming stood at the door watching happily as they ran around together.
"Make sure that mutt doesn't ruin my flowerbeds!" Jonathan, the grumpy old gardener yelled at Emma. Emma was meant to tell her mommy or daddy if he was mean to her. But she wouldn't this time, she was too happy with Rollo. She just knew she and Rollo were going to be best friends. Forever and ever.
