Sharp words

Jade Star asked for a oneshot of Emma and Hook locked in the cells during the curse of shattered sight instead of Snowing. Snowing attempt to reason with the pair.

"I don't know what I ever saw in you!" Hook snarled, slamming his hand and hook against the bars separating him and Emma into different cells.

"Oh yeah?" Emma growled back. "Well me neither pal. I've got three words for you: Neal. Was. Bigger!"

"Emma!" Charming protested. Some things he didn't want or need to know!

"Well you're not exactly a joy to be with in that department yourself love. It's like being with a cardboard cut out!" Hook continued as though not hearing Charming.

"HEY!" Charming bellowed, neither could ignore him this time. "I don't care how cursed either of you are. I don't want to know any details of my daughter's sex life, alright?" The pair just rolled their eyes. What did he care anyway?

"Besides, you don't really want to argue. You love each other." Snow tried to reason with them. Emma snorted.

"Love him? How could I love someone who chews so loudly?! I mean, I know he's a pirate but even then he's like an animal."

"It's nothing compared to the way you pick the dirt from your fingernails. It's revolting."

"You're just jealous you don't have a second hand in which to do it." Emma retorted.

"Enough!" Snow shouted. "If you haven't got anything nice to say to each other then don't say anything at all. Just sit there quietly until Regina sorts this all out." Emma approached the front bars, a dangerous smile on her lips.

"And just how do you plan to tell me what to do?" She said quietly. "You have no control over me. You're no mother to me. Don't lie; you didn't put me through that wardrobe to save me. You did it to save yourselves. You knew I was the only way to break the stupid curse so you shoved me through a wardrobe without a care in the world and then replaced me. You don't get to tell me what to do, mommy dearest. You don't give a rat's backside about me. You never have." Snow sucked in a deep breath. She knew Emma didn't mean that, but it didn't mean it didn't sting.

"Don't listen to her." Charming said comfortingly. "She's just under the curse-"

"The pair of you are always making excuses for her." Hook said bitterly. "She's cursed, she's hurt, she's under a lot of stress." He said in a crude mock voice. "Why can't the pair of you just accept she makes a lot of mistakes and should learn to face them? She doesn't need your protecting."

"You don't mean that Hook." Charming called behind him. Hook just wanted to get under the man's skin.

"You can't stand me, can you little Prince? You've never thought I was good enough for your prissy daughter. You can't stand the thought of me with her- the image of me with her. My hand all over her making her want me…"

"Shut up shut up shut up!" Charming demanded, clamping his hands over his ears. He had to keep reminding himself that the pirate didn't mean it. A sick grin spread over Hook's face knowing he was winning. But before he could continue to wind up the Prince a warm glow spread through the room. Both Emma and Hook felt their visions clear. They remembered who they really were. What was worse…they remembered the insults they'd hurled at each other. Hook gulped as he looked over at Charming and Emma looked guiltily at Snow. This wasn't going to be easily forgotten.
