More fun
A guest asked for a oneshot of Snowing's children preferring to spend their weekends at Emma's house and Snow getting jealous. Emma invites her to stay as well to see what all the fun is about.
Emma could tell there was something off about her mom all the way through lunch. For one thing it had taken Emma a fortnight to pin her mom down for a date, and even then Snow had firmly stated that she would only be able to stay for an hour. In the past Snow had jumped at a chance to spend time with Emma. Now she was brushing her off at every opportunity. Eventually, Emma had enough.
"Alright, what's going on?" Emma asked, placing her fork down.
"What do you mean?" Snow asked coldly, not even looking at Emma.
"You're totally ignoring me. You're avoiding me whenever you can. When Neal and Rosie come over at the weekend you don't even come out of the car. I don't understand why you're so mad at me, I don't think I've done anything and if I had I would have expected you to tell me so we could sort it." After all that Snow just shrugged. Emma's blood boiled. "What? Finally decided you don't need a third kid anymore? Starting to freeze me out, cut the cord loose? Well let me save you the trouble…"
"No Emma wait." Snow said, grabbing Emma's upper arm, she had clearly pushed Emma too far. All over some stupid childish jealously. "I'm sorry, sit back down, I'll explain." Still fuming inside, Emma did sit back down. She wanted to know what had gotten her acting so, well, irritatingly! Snow looked down at her now empty plate, unable to look Emma in the eye. "Well first thing's first, never thing I don't need you in my life. You are just as much my child as Neal or Rosie…the thing is- they want to spend every weekend with you. It feels like they don't want to spend any time with me and your dad." Emma felt a little bad now. She just wished her mom had told her this earlier.
"Well mom why don't you and dad come too? We can spend the weekend as a whole family. You guys, the siblings, me and my kids. I'm sure Eira and Dewey would love to see their grandparents more." Snow nodded.
"Alright, sure. Your dad and I will join you guys on Saturday. I'd better get going, I have to get Neal's basketball uniform ready." Snow kissed Emma's cheek and left Granny's.
That Saturday Charming and Snow came in with Neal and Rosie to see what all the fuss was about. They found out nearly straight away- Emma had paintball guns.
"Why did none of you mention these?! It would have made so much more sense!" Charming asked. His younger two children and grandchildren shrugged.
"We thought you already knew." Neal answered.
"Anyway," Rosie said as she pulled down her goggles "let's battle!"
