Fencing

Codi asked for a oneshot of Snowing finding a trophy Emma won in fencing when she was younger.

Guest who asked for Snowing trading Emma for Neal: I can't write swap stories. I don't feel I'd be giving a good oneshot to you.

Guest who asked for Emma tripping over one of Neal's toys I'm afraid that's already been covered.

Snow and Charming stared at the little golden trophy with such pride. Boston city under 15s fencing champion 1995. They couldn't believe Emma had never shown this to them. This can't have been an easy thing to get- there was no way they were letting this slip under the carpet! Charming picked it up and took it down the stairs where Emma was with Snow following behind him. They placed the little trophy on the table in front of her with smug faces. Emma looked down at the trophy and then back up at her parents.

"We weren't snooping." Charming assured her. "I found it when I was looking for your badge like you asked me to. Why did you never mention this?" He asked her. Emma shrugged, settling back on the couch.

"It never seemed worth mentioning." She said, uninterested. "It was a long time ago. I went to a fencing club at one of the high schools I attended. When I moved Foster home I moved school and they didn't have a fencing club so that was the end of that. No big deal, they had a wrestling club, it was just as good for letting off some steam and staying out of the house." Snow and Charming didn't ask why she wanted to stay away from the house- they weren't sure that they wanted to know.

"It might have been a long time ago but Emma this is really special." Snow said, holding the trophy proudly. "It also shows a link to your heritage. If you'd been raised in the Enchanted Forest link you were meant to you would have been out with swords and bows and arrows from the minute you could hold one. Well, start with fake ones first, obviously. The point is, this is just a nice little proof to us that you really are ours. As well as being a major achievement." Charming took the trophy and placed it high on the mantelpiece.

"It's not moving- no arguments." Emma sighed and settled back on the couch. She knew that trophy was stuck there now. Yeah, she was a little embarrassed. But she was also elated that her parents were proud enough to want it there.
